  • Hey! My story is very similar to yours! I just started back today and looking to change for the good. Im 29, 5'2, 195 and looking to get down to 150 just for the start. Overall goal is 135-140. I figured having a few friends will help keep me on track :)
  • I cant really see your face, but Im gonna go with Courtney Cox.
  • I have a few enemies in the food world.. Dr.Pepper( I used to drink nothing but this all day everyday! VERY strong addiction), Any type of carb really (pasta, bread, potatoes), candy (fruity flavored of course!!) and the devil it self CARAMEL. I could drink caramel, I no longer allow myself the struggle so I dont buy…
  • Don't feel to badly, it is just a "bad day" for you. I have lost 24 lbs thus far and feel EXACTLY like you do. On some days I feel super awesome and "skinnier". Then on some days I feel just as huge as ever. Im half way to my overall goal and its depressing bc like you no one but my husband has really noticed. Its so…
  • Have you changed anything that you were doing these past 4 weeks? If so, it could be that your body needed that extra "change" up to kick it into gear. It could have been water retention, that will make you lose a lot. My first week of starting my journey and I lost "8lbs" (I know that it was water lol bc you dont lose…
  • I do this and it works out wonderfully for me. I can still eat all of my favorite foods :) I am still losing weight and do not have to give up on the things I love!!
  • LIke the poster above me stated, you can not spot reduce :/ Your genetic make up decides where you lose first. Just continue to work out and eventually you will start losing the unwanted weight in the areas that you are wanting gone. You def need to eat at least part of your exercise calories or you body will go into…
  • Ok for the quick calorie adds, that is when I am not able to find something specific that I have but it has the calories on the back of the package, not a figure on something that needs to be weighed . I never go anywhere since I am a stay at home mom lol so no random candy bars or stops by the fast food joints!! I…
  • my diary is now open, I understand that I need to be patient and that is most probably the case. When I first started back in January I initially lost 8lbs in a week (I know most of which was water) I just figured since the break I would do the same thing this time around.
  • I will open up my diary but like I stated in my post it has a lot of holes in it because I do not track everything since I eat the same things everyday. That is why I put everything number wise in the post.
  • I am currently 2 weeks into the routine. I do own a heart rate monitor that counts my calories when I work out. I burn about 400 calories per workout. I thought that by taking 2 months off that my body would be un used to the whole counting calories and working out because I have not done them in a while. I never go over…
  • I chose 1300 because that is what MFP put me on the first time around. When I updated goals the 2nd time that is what it put me on this time too.
  • First you have done an amazing job this far!!! so congrats!!! :) When I first started I had to play around with calorie intake because my days vary. Add more for a week and if that doesn't help, the next week take a little away. You have to adjust it around to suit your needs. Also I have done a ton of reading about…
  • That is the truth!! But I will say I do need to loose it everywhere! lol
  • Thank you everyone!! I will def take some pictures today and start comparing as I continue to loose. You all are awesome and I appreciate the positive feedback :) I know it takes time and its probably just my mindset (I am that way with everything! Even tanning). I do A LOT of cardio and from what I have read it seems it…
  • Count me in as well... SW-180 CW-169 goal weight- 140 Im 25 and in the same boat as you, I just want to be a healthy weight and feel good about myself. I've been at it for a month now and am getting progress. I guess what they say is true, it takes hard work and dedication to get it off. Good luck!! im sure you will get…
  • Wow!! you guys are awesome!! Thanks so much for the inspiration :) I am currently on a 1300 calorie a day according to MFP and try my best to stick to it, although sometimes it can go under.
  • Im 5'2, 25y and have been using mfp for two weeks now. I eat 1300 calories a day (give or take 100) and do Zumba 3-4 times a week for 60-75 mins. As of today ive lost 9lbs and 1.5 inches. I will usually eat half of my exercise calories back. If 1200 isnt enough for you try dropping it to 1400 and see how that works. You…
