  • Ketoer here who likes to drink and lift weights(not at the same time). I very much dislike keto flu so..... i take a calcium, magnum, zinc with d3, i take an omega, flax, borage capsule to cover my omegas just in case. I also supplement with an occasional zipfizz or eco drink in a very large container of water to cover…
  • 1st I'm super impressed with your doctor for recommending it period! The percentages for macros he recommended will definitely get you there ketosis wise.. but... research the keto flu. Mist people who go from a rather high carb diet (in keto terms) really shock their system and feel crappy for a few weeks. I experienced…
  • Yeah....i was looking at my higher carb day still under 100g (post weekend enjoyment) to fuel my Monday lifts a little better until i get fat adapted. No need to really change it much. I'm still aiming to drop the bodyfat and be as muscle sparing while i do so. I'd like to consider a bulk after the holidays when the…
  • AHAHAHAH.... I too work in a medical field where CKD mean just that...more common in my feline patients LOL. BUt then again...maybe they would benefit from a low car lifestyle as well hahaha.
  • Ive done keto before... this time IM more driven and focused (in a better place in my head). Add me if you want, 37F also!!!;-)
  • I can say..i haven't gone premium... but in the nutrition category... you can select macros. In your profile you can adjust your macros without going premium. As far as the net carbs... I'm pretty sure being that mfp is not geared for ketoers or general low carbers...it doesn't subtract the fiber or things like sugar…

  • Thanks for all your responses. I personally do keto for many other benefits aside from losing some extra baggage. Im 5'7" approx 155lbs and not a delicate frame by nature. I'm lucky to have decent muscle mass by genetics. Keto seems to help with my cystic ovaries, insomnia, anxiety and depression and excess weight on old…
  • I'm keto as well. Feel free to add me!
  • I'll be happy with 20# of pure fat loss by Christmas!!! I too do Keto! It makes a huge difference in my life(in many ways) when i stick to it.
  • I have pcos and tried the non hormonal route with paraguard and it was 2 yrs of misery, pain and spotting.I was at one point put on continuous bc to stop my periods all together and that was not effective. It was not a good choice for me (non child bearing up to that point). It was a big ordeal to have it removed but after…
  • Where can I find this group?
  • Oddly enough, I knew I had pcos before I was sexually active in my teen years. I've been on every birth control known to man. I even tried a non hormone iud at 30 ( I smoked and was over weight) which sadly was a HORRIBLE mistake. Now approaching 35, I've found some balance. In my own personal opinion and trials and…
  • So Motivational! You made me tear up with your first 3k pic!!! What a fabulous transformation. I too was devastated by a running injury to my knee while I was training for a half marathon. I was up to 11miles in a session without stopping. But I found other forms of exercise I love. I will embrace that I am more a hiker,…
  • I couldnt agree more!!! I battle depression. I was on medication for it during two separate times in my life and i had panic attacks and generalized anxiety to boot. The anxiety and depression just fed each other. It was a dark place. I do go to a dark place from time to time every month, sometimes for a weeks straight. I…

  • AMAZING Transformation! Good at you!
  • Hi there! I am 33, 5'7" and currently 160-165# Its funny because you are where I want to get back to and then refocus and tone it in! I know I looked at little "sickly thin" when under 135#, well thats atleast what other people would tell me (i have a big rib cage and hip bones). So when I get back to the 140 mark its all…
  • Im meat light too. Ovo-lacto pescetarian. Majority of my meals are primarily meat free but I do like to fish and live with a meat eater. Although my fella loves many of my meat alternatives, he is a bacon lover and that is soooo hard for me as I love the taste. I am an animal nurse and struggle with eating meat ethically…
