I hope so I'm just glad I've kept a bit of a handle on it so its not all the weight I lost back on but just a stone of it... Though that still fewls like a lot!

This is very true!

I was hoping everyone would say it is wayyy easier ;) At a point I was convinced that I had changed my lifestyle so much that it wouldn't support weight gain... WRONG!! The thing I have noticed is that putting it on isn't linear either... sometimes I would think I had "got away" with a holiday or some lazy munching weeks…

thanks everyone! - yeah I agree that some of the findings are a little depressing ManiacalLaugh...but better the devil you know!

Yep it's the kind of thing I would have liked to have read when starting out!

No idea why it was posted on Forbes! I got to it from a weirdly phrased question about my post above via google!

Hmm not sure if I've added any exercise as such that I wasn't doing before (usually walk a lot, do 1-3 classes (usually les mills)) it's more that I know I was eating too much for a few weeks and am now reigning it in so think it is pretty possible that I did gain 3-4 pounds, just wondering if there is any reason that will…

I know! the click bait nature of the title made me think it was going to be rubbish so I was pretty surprised! I was actually trying to find an answer to the question whether a couple of pounds gained during a period primarily eating at a deficit (pretty sure it's not water weight, as it has been a few weeks, probably 3-4…

Hi all, 60lbs down, ideally would like to lose 1-2 stone more, this is the tough bit! Looking for active buddies for the last stretch :)

don't worry weighing at night will always be heavier! I drive myself crazy with the scales sometimes, even on weeks where I've gone down a belt loop! Try not to take too much from it and maybe try weighing the same time of day once a week? Advice I wish I could take right there as I'm always hopping on the scales and…

Jeez if someone wants to go gluten free even for *kitten* and giggles then they should go right ahead! Honestly, it's not going to do any harm is it? The question isn't "Please give unsolicited advice on my diet" but "What should I have for breakfast?". As to that question, I went wild for chocolate banana quinoa a while…

relating to so much of your story and as it happens needed to hear it today! I need to lose another couple of stone before UGW and stories like this urge me on :))

Great progress! I also just hit the obese -> overweight milestone and it feels great! I have checked my BMI on several different sites for the jollies!! Going to send a FR your way as we are in similar situations, hoping to be friends! :)

I know absolutely what you mean re:back chub! Definitely the series of photos I am the most jazzed about - you can't suck in back fat! ;)

ahh photos are a bit too wide - needs a right click and open image in new tab to see full comparison

I've lost 46 pounds since the end of June last year, slightly slow and steady perhaps but actually averaging out around 1.5lbs per week... something like that. I use the MFP method and tend to eat back most if not all of my exercise calories. I walk 90 minutes 5 days a week and try to add extra exercise on some of those…

46 down, between 40-50 to go in total... 30 till my initial goal then I'll reset my widget. Happy to be friends with folks.
