Am on 1250 a day since November and lost 13lbs but I think that's partly because I cut my carbs in my macros too to a third of what I used to eat. I have another 15lbs to go to get to goal weight of 126lbs.

Review other peoples diaries - I am trying less carbs more protein but still within 1250 calories daily. Never punish yourself with no treats. You can keep it simple with meat/fish dishes simply with an assortment of veg on the side.

Too often especially with a 1,200 goal if I don't exercise but I try and tell myself that if its only say 100 calories its still well below my BMR etc and I am still going to lose a little just at a much slower pace. Hi Laura Theres two different schools of thought here - one which I subscribe to which is if it fits the calorie limits and your macros then within reason have what you want though if you eat fast food or high calorie treats its going to take you to your calorie goal pretty quickly. Thank you all of you :-) No it doesn't have a chest strap and at 139lbs the calorie burn is as Brian said going to be a lot lower. Guess that was a waste of £40 then.

Thank you that's what I wondered too - It is only a wrist one but I do make sure I press it regularly to do heart rate reading while exercising and I have keyed in my age and sex as I mentioned and theres nowhere to add my weight or other info. Very brave posting and wishing you the very best in trimming all the areas you wish to. Love the term arm puffs I have those too plus a spare tyre that hides the top of my underwear and which needs to be deflated asap. Cant wait to get the hollows in my collar bones back too :-)

This happens to me as well but not through fruit (blush icon here) However was reassured by someone pointing out that sugar is a subdivision of carbs and provided you don't go over the carbs in your macro all should be well. Working for me even with excess sugar :-)

Nineteen pages? Argh im not reading all that I'm going to get some exercise so I can eat more if I want to because as others have made the point its my diet plan not everyone's so it can include chocolate and wine etc as I choose that it does :-)

hello - lots of what you say strikes a chord - I am 5ft 2 and 46 and struggle with the 1,200 unless I exercise. I have 17lbs to go. Vices are wine chocolate and cheese as well :-) Will send you a friend request - so add me if you wish.

Right with you on this one re exercise being a way to enjoy life a little more foodwise and still lose the excess. Great to hear you have done so well with the weight loss so far - well done for sticking with it for that year :-)

I am not sure how low it goes but maybe I should be relieved it doesn't go below 1200 calories as being quite little height wise etc I had to start on that and am now exercising in some form every day to earn back more to eat - but if you workout you do at least get the credit lol

Only just started but as my plan is to reasonable amount of weight I know I will also need to stay motivated and get kicked now and again and am happy to do the same to you. My diary is open to my friends so will send you a friend request and maybe we can help each other :-)
