  • Great work!
  • This is my approach - if I only keep healthy choices in the home, I'm only going to choose healthy choices
  • That is definitely worthy of bonus points! Koodos!

  • I definitely spent pictures of what I want for a treadmill desk to my husband and let him know that it's on the 'honey do' list lol
  • Chemo can really screw with your system, and it's so different for everyone. I'm a cancer survivor so I spend much of my time chatting with other cancer survivors and learning about their journey in a support group that I have started locally. I know quite a few are currently in the same boat post chemo - trying to rebuild…
  • Sure there are, there's your whole kitchen! Haha - While I am good about selecting healthier options when I'm out shopping, my husband has a killer sweet tooth
  • Unfortunately, a set time doesn't work all days. I have a 'usual' time but in my line of work with meetings, coaching sessions, etc I don't have a set schedule. So I need to find a way to gain momentum without the reliance of a set go-to time
  • I love that feature on my Garmin too, some days I swear thats the only reason I get up and moving, and it's honestly the main reason I bought the Garmin!
  • I've seen those under desk ellipticals before and was intrigued. I have a treadmill at home and I am debating building one of those little desks that sit across the arm bars of the treadmill so I can walk and work during the day.
  • My pups sound similar - Our flat-coated retriever will literally lay down on the side of the road 5 min into a run because he's done but my German Shepherd is always up for a good run
  • Dogs can be the best personal trainers if you ask me haha I have 2 German Shepherd mixes myself and they do a good job at keeping me moving
  • You can also find a ton of Zumba style videos on YouTube, and doing them at home alleviates any concerns about looking like a fool in front of others if you're one of many that feel that way
  • Its about 60 min most days here, but we live on a large property and we spend about 45-60 min running and playing soccer in the back field ontop of that (2 GSD mixes)
  • Amazing :) We climbed for Ovarian Cancer Canada with a group of 15 - Including 6 survivors! It made it an emotional and powerful journey and I'm SO happy we took part!
  • Kili is an endurance challenge - A challenge to push yourself for a full day with dwindling oxygen. You'll want to work your cardio (the stronger your cardio, the easier the lack of oxygen will be, not that it will ever be easy, but it won't be as hard lol). Also arm and leg strength helps a ton. Of the group of us that…

  • He always had his dog in the bed before we got together, and I always had mine in the bed before we got together, so it only made sense to both of us to get a bigger bed and continue lol
  • I have two sides... it all works out lol His GSD/Retriever curls up on the other side of him too hahaha so we wind up sandwiched in the middle of the two pups
  • I exercise for many reasons: - I enjoy it - I was blessed enough to survive Cancer and feel like I owe it to my second chance to live a long, healthy life - It makes me feel better about myself - Its something my husband and I enjoy doing together - My dogs loving having an active mom ;)
  • How did it go? Looks like you headed out there just before we did - My husband and I climbed starting Sept 23rd!
  • Hey everyone, just found this group! My name is Britt and I live in southern Ontario, Canada. I LOVE hiking and camping and am now sharing that love with my husband. We often spend much of the year (minus the bitter cold that is this winter) our hiking with our two German Shepherd mix pups. The last hiking/backpacking trip…
  • We have 2 right now. Pippen is a 5 year old Tortie/Maine Coon (she got the coat of the Maine Coon, even the tufts on her ears, but the colouring and size of the tortie) and Jinx a 3 year old Tortie.
  • My husband and I have 2 dogs - My baby girl is a German Shep/Weim and the little Daddy's boy is a German Shep/Flat Coated Retriever.
  • You bet! My GSD/Weim sleeps beside me, under the blankets, head on my pillow and I hold her like a teddy bear every night lol! That's our routine... nothing like an 85lb teddy bear! I feel weird when she's not there, like if we are on vacation or something.
  • We have 2 GSD mixes and 2 cats that all love to cuddle up with us in bed. This was particularly special when the power went out during one of the big winter storms over night down here. We all curled up under the blankets together and were fine until the power came back on in the morning :)
  • Hey everyone! Just found this group and excited - I love it! My name is Britt. I'm 27, married with no human children but 4 fur babies (2 dogs and 2 cats) at home. I am an avid crocheter and I blog crochet/have a budding crochet page/community on Facebook. As for current projects I am just finishing up a crochet throw…
