  • Buy a scale. You would be surprised at the difference it makes. You can get a good scale for under $20.00.
  • I did one a month for 2 months. Nothing. Water weight. Totally not worth it unless you have a function to go to and want to look a little more toned. You can do the same thing by soaking in a bath of epsom salt. (that's what alot of models do). The wraps make your skin super soft though.
  • Bodyrock.tv has 12 minute HIIT workouts that are amazing! They have a new workout every day and it includes cardio and weight/bodyweight training as well. You could do 2 a day spaced out even.
  • I have the Polar ft4. I've had it for 8 months and it works great. Has just enough specs. Calorie count seems dead on. It's fairly inexpensive.
  • Wow! That's insane! I don't burn that much when I run for 5 miles! I use my hrm all the time and hope it to be accurate, so go with it. What I do as far as my eating it back though, I take what MFP has in the database for the amount of time on the exercise and theirs is usually lower, so I go by that because even if your…
  • Ohio 32F wind chill feels like 23. Brr.
  • I love bodyrock! I bought the interval timer and it really keeps me interested in my workouts. I do it before I do my elliptical when I'm home so my heart is primed and ready. I burn alot more calories on the elliptical if I start with the 12 min circuits on bodyrock, rather than just hopping on without getting my heart…
  • I have found it's not impossible, you just have to eat the "right" kind of foods and watch portion size. Yes definitely exercise to gain some calories back, that way you won't feel so deprived.
  • I love the workouts! I use them as a primer to get my heart rate up before I hop on the elliptical. I just bought the interval timer, and I 'm having fun. It's a nice switch from my normal routine.
  • I thought it was too easy.
  • Agree! I live in Ohio and it's cold!! I bought an ellliptical a month ago so that on days I can't make it to the gym or run outside I still can burn up some calories. I work harder on the treadmill but don't always feel like working that hard and an elliptical is much easier on your body and still a good workout.
  • I have the Polar ft4, its very basic, easy to use and accurate. It has a chest strap but it constantly monitors. One button to switch between heart rate and calories, and if you're on a machine at the gym they usually sense your monitor and sync. It was only $90.
  • I have the Polar FT4. It's great! $89. Calories and hear rate, synchs with gym equiptment. Totally reliable.
  • I have no clue. I never lost weight on it, it's not enough exercise for me. I usually only burn around 225 cals doing one of the workouts, at best. I'm also already thin though, don't know if that makes a difference.
  • It's hard! I recently started working (this week) first time in 7 years. I have 3 kids and a husband with 2 jobs so I'm responsible for everything house/child related. I used to go to the gym every day, now with work I can't find the time. I bought and elliptical this week and have been on it all week at 10pm. Whatever it…
  • I stop mine when I'm done exercising. I figure if I burn off some extra cals whil my heartrate goes back down it's a freebie.
  • When starting a new routine your muscles will swell and retain fluid. Once your body gets used to it it will drop off.
  • Everybody is different, but I"m 36, have had 3 children and I'm smaller now then I was in high school. I'm a size 2 now. I can wear all the teen brand clothes. My body has never looked better, and I weighed around 124 in high school, so around size 4, so it's not like I was fat and got skinny. You will be able to wear…
  • I am 36, 5'7" and currently 122. ( 3 kids) . I am up from 117, where my husband thought I looked morbidly skinny. I eat 1200 cals, and do 5x a week at 60 min on arc trainer, treadmill or elliptical, and 1x a week with a trainer doing strength. I want to get back down to around 119, which is where I feel I look best.…
  • I burn 720 on the Cybex Arc trainer in 60 minutes, Eliptical is around 550, Treadmill around 550. I am 5'8" and weigh 122. that's what the machine is telling me after entering in my stats. MFP says slightly less. I subtract 10% for machine accuracy. I don't have a heart rate monitor to tell me otherwise. Also though, my…
  • I agree with this. Cut out the fast food all together! Switch to Lite Whole Grain breads and eat leaner meat. Try egg whites instead of whole eggs. Definately more natural raw fruit (not fruit in juice), Try healthy snacks like Fiber One brands are really good. Also are you exercising? That would help alot. Good luck! It's…

  • Jillian vids are awesome, I've been doing 6wk 6 pack and it's great. 30 min, hiit involved with abs so good calorie burn and great results!
  • I'm 5'7 currently 120-122. Goal is 115-117 because I look good at that weight. Plus if I'm that low I can have room to fluctuate a little and not freak out.
