They both are good, swimming burns more calories (I am a swimmer, it burns a ton of calories, trust me), but I think running is better for fat burning. They both are great. My boyfriend is a runner who is also a swimmer, and he is skinny as a stick, with a very low bmi and % body fat. I think if you do both, you will see…

Congrats!!!!!!!!!
-
Ok thank you so much!
-
Where?
-
Agreed
-
Ok, I might just do that, and use my nutritionist's one as a real estimate, and the online as a change-over-time one.
-
Haha oh well :(
-
Yeah they do that at my nutritionist's as well, but I was curious as to why I was gaining weight and I decided to calculate my body fat based on measurements.
-
That stinks, I was really excited about the body fat I had lost :(
-
I just did my measurements and I went way down, so check yours too. It might be all muscle gain, muscle weighs more than fat.
-
I dont have advise but I'm there with you, haven't lost anything yet.
-
Your story is so motivational. Keep up the good work!

Welcome, I am sorry about the heart condition. This is a great motivator. I just started a few days ago and I love it. I hope it helps you!
-
I'm a vegetarian and I love morning star meals, they are all around 300 calories and delicious! Also, Odwalla protein drinks have protein in them for about 400 calories.
-
Feel free to add me! And welcome, I started a few days ago.
-
I'd love to join this! Mon: 1272 (2 hours of swimming hard) Love being on a competitive team!

Random, and I always love new friends, I need motivation having just started this.
-
Hi, I just started a few days ago, you can add me as a friend if you want. And I know what you mean about the yo-yo dieting, I tend to do that too, but it all stops here! Welcome, and good luck!
-
Drink water! Or tea! Go do something, maybe exercise, or eat something healthy very slowly till the hunger goes away.
-
I'll be your friend! And welcome, I started a few days ago.

This. My goal would put my B.M.I. around a 17, but I am a long distance athlete, and they all have small B.M.I.s. What was said before, there is no idea body weight, there is just what makes you feel good about yourself.
-
I understand, it happens to me too. I think it's more of a jealousy thing for me though.
-
This. Especially if your working out, it may be muscle weight, which weighs more than fat. I'm having the same problem, and I think its because I don't have regular bowel movements. Sorry to be gross but it may be because your body has some extra 'stuff' in it.
-
This. And I love Special K protein Shakes. Fills you up, gives you protein, and is like 200 calories.
-
Agreed, usually you gain weight from working out due to the water you have to drink while exercising.
-
Ok thats good, about the starvation mode, I will up my fiber intake! Thank you!
