Need better lunch ideas for work

I work a 9 to 5 job and I don't get a lunch break. I am tired of eating grilled chicken everyday. I have tried it in sandwiches, salads, and wraps. Does anyone have any new twists I could try?

The Lean cuisine/marie calendars/healthy choice steamers are really good! I prefer the lean cuisine or healthy choice ones, but they microwave in 4 minutes and have tons of flavor!! I dont usually take a long break either, i eat through my lunch! Grab one of those and a pc of fruit and you'll be good to go !0

You can make yourself a peanut butter sandwich just make sure you don't put too much on the bread.0

I make batches of whatever sounds good on the weekend, then package it up into meal-sized containers and freeze it. I then have my own, home-made lunch items, made just the way I like them, ready to go. After the first couple of weeks, you end up having variety, since you have leftovers from a number of cooking sessions. I also freeze leftover wild rice or other sides in serving-sized portions so I can grab some wild rice, some steamed butternut squash and some turkey chili (or whatever combination sounds good) and make a meal.
Another quickie... I take Trader Joe's organic foursome frozen veggies, toss a serving of their frozen teriyaki chicken strips on top (with or without the sauce, depending on how I feel) and take that as a meal. Kind of like a rice bowl but with veggies instead of the rice.0 -
Are you a fish eater? Grilled tilapia is nice, along with a tuna or salmon sandwich or salad.
I also loved to spread a whole wheat pita with hummus and fill it with spinach, bean sprouts and 3 oz. of random meat: turkey, ham, chicken. For an extra kick, I would add lemon juice to the pita and some oregano.
Are you an egg salad kind of girl? I'm not, but eggs are a great source of protein.
Hope you find something yummy!0 -
I'm a vegetarian and I love morning star meals, they are all around 300 calories and delicious!
Also, Odwalla protein drinks have protein in them for about 400 calories.0 -
I sometimes bring oatmeal to eat, which is quick and easy. you could also try making egg salad. I use 3 egg whites and 1/4 cup egg beater whites and 1tsp mayo. You could also try plain non fat greek yogurt with a little sweetner (stevia/agave/etc) and add 1/4 cup fiber one cereal, cinnamon, almond extract. the frozen meals are easy, but lots of sodium.0

I like to make turkey wraps. I take turkey breast, spread laughing cow cheese on it, sprinkle spinach leaves all over and then roll it up. They are quite satisfying and filling.0

I do a lot of toasted english muffins with pb and sugar free preserves.0

I was eating the Michelina's lunches (which are very good) but I've switched over to Lean Cuisine. Usually lower sodium, lower calories, taste just as good if not better. This and a piece of fruit is a great lunch and just enough to hold me to dinner.0

Wait a minute. Why don't you get a lunch break? Legally you are required to take at least a 30 minute lunch break for every 4 or 5 hours you work, and a 15 minute break for every 2 or 3 hours you work.0

I do pb2 and organic fruit spread on a cinnamon raisin bagel thin, or
Laughing Cow Cheese Wedge spread on Pop Chips,
and sometimes steam in bag veggies and toss boiled shrip in.0 -
I have made a big pot of soup over the weekend and it will last me the entire week. You can do chicken and vegetables or just a vegetable soup. It is very low calorie.0
