I like your idea of just recording the lowest lows here! I am going to start doing that.

I don't digest beef properly. Every other meat is fine, even pork, but beef just sits in my stomach for hours and hours and does cause some discomfort. Maybe I'm missing some kind of enzyme, I don't know.

You look fabulous. I so admire your determination and positive outlook.

This helps me a lot. Thankyou!

Well, it did turn out good. I ate 3 pieces and hubby had 4! If I had more self-control, this would be a great recipe to have on hand...

I am paced 100%. I would have liked to use the Aria scale but it is not advised for those with pacemakers. I guess it wouldn't kill you but apparently the magnetic force can reprogram the PM. You can join the Pacemaker Club online and ask about it. There are some very knowledgeable people there. Microwave ovens aren't a…

It is hard for me to maintain, too. I was also 140 at 5'8" in 1997 (lost a bit of height since then). At first, I felt like I looked great but I had some flabbiness that I was planning to work on. Slowly, over more than a decade, I gained weight back up to almost 180. I just kept postponing working on it and giving in to…

Hello from beautiful BC (Cariboo Region)!

My favourite quinoa recipe so far: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/quinoa-and-black-beans/ Great comfort food for a cool fall day. I freeze it in individual portions and heat in the microwave.

So Jen, have you started working on that dance move? You've already walked backwards on your treadmill, right? (Or do I have you mixed up with someone else?)
-
I do, for much the same reason. Sometimes I feel weak and ill all of a sudden and it can be so hard to have to keep walking to get home or back to the car. Plus, the sweating thing. Ugh. I prefer to sweat in private and be near the shower.

Hi Susanne, I'm 58 and have been on MFP for 70 days. I'm purposely losing weight slowly this time, hoping to reach goal and maintenance sometime before I turn 60. Feel free to add me, too! This site is wonderful!

I log them according to which meal or snack they are closest to. I don't look back at previous days for patterns. I just care that the totals are correct. But now you have me thinking about it and I don't feel as content as I did with my system, lol.

I don't watch television but just found it on Youtube. Thanks!

Fantastic! 25 pounds is no small victory!
-
Congratulations! You look amazing! As others have written, I would have guessed you to be much younger.
-
Why not help us all out and post your secret on your profile or in a post?
-
Well done! Thanks for sharing your success here. It's very inspiring!

What a transformation! I like your new hairstyle, too!

That sounds similar to Curves. It's also a 30 minute circuit. I would select Curves 30 minutes from the database.

Thanks everyone, for your advice! I have an old laptop that has Bluetooth, so I can try that. If all else fails I'll put it on my hubby's newer iPad. I will join the Fitbit group when my Fitbit arrives. It was shipped today. I don't have a dog, so it should be safe with me, lol!

You can learn to knit or crochet for free with youtube videos if that interests you. Keeping my hands busy works better for me than, say, reading because I can't knit or crochet and eat at the same time.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Also, what kind of time frame are we looking at? Sometimes we lose a bunch and then gain some back. How often do you weigh? It definitely looks like you're not eating enough but I know for myself that when my hypothyroid isn't treated I gain weight on very little food.

Haha! I should have read the whole thread. Your profile pic is adorable. I was actually going to say that but thought you wanted a change. Now I find out that *is* the change. Very pretty!
