I don't know what is better for weight loss, but for me cardio is better before weights. I find that lifting first makes my legs and arms sore which sometimes makes it harder for me to stay motivated to do my 30 minutes of cardio. If I do my cardio first, I feel like I can be stronger and faster. Then I do my weights and…

Excellent point! I suppose most meat is bought raw as well so weighing it raw would make sense and that seems to be the general consensus. Thank you everyone.

Wish I would have thought of that before I threw it into the water! Next time, or perhaps someone else will try it out :) Would be interesting to see if there was a big difference or not.

Yes, I have no problem with that. I don't see many runners that have health issues like obese people though, and I don't see many skinny fat girls that need to have breathing devices on when they sleep.... or have heart issues or are diabetic, I am confused? So if I am 5'6 and weigh 130 (my goal) you are saying you are…

I did not read all the replies, but wanted to put my say in. For me, I would pay any vet bill that came my way for my animals. I do agree that humans are more than animals and so forth, however, I am a strong believer that once you take an animal in your home, you are responsible for it. That means for all of it's care,…

+1 I'm just not interested in weight lifting at this time. Some people, girls and guys seem to talk about how "skinny fat" is just wrong, or something about how we look bad naked? Idk I get confused. Anyways, I am perfectly happy with "skinny fat" and I find cardio easier and more accessible, I can walk, jog, use…

On his show they have let slip a few times and aired how many calories the people on the show eat. Never on any exercise show do they talk about eating exercise calories back, this includes extreme weightloss, biggest loser (as far as I know) and on many popular or celebrity trainer diets they are set at 1200-1500…

"Bouchard took twelve pairs of twins and subjected them to 84 days over a 100-day period of overfeeding by 1,000 calories per day, for a total of 84,000 excess calories. Subjects maintained a sedentary lifestyle during this time. The average weight gain was 17.86 pounds, but the range went from 9.48 pounds to 29.32…

Thanks everyone for the responses! I am hoping to get one later this week so thanks for the tips and suggestions!

1 fry short of a happy meal? Love Stargate! I worked in a collectibles store when I was younger so I really got into star trek and have even been to a convention, but did not dress up. I like video games like final fantasy but mostly games where I get to shoot and blow things up! Finally, I will admit I played a…

I got to go with you on this one.

I am also on a night schedule some days of the week and other days not. I thought it would be best to just do my diary from when I get up to when I go to sleep regardless of what time of the day it is. Because things can vary daily, I call my meals just by number, meal 1, meal 2 etc and then I have snacks for random food…

And that is why some people do. Not everyone has a gym membership or lifts or works a fast paced job. Some people sit at computers all day, some people have been advised by their doctors to NOT do heavy exercise, some people are so overweight that 1200 calories a day has been recommended for them by their doctor. I know a…

I love the Jillian Michael's 6 week 6 pack dvd. It is only about 25 minutes and she does quite a variety of different crunches, ab strengthening moves on it. She has you go through all the moves once and then the same moves again but at a faster pace for 2 rounds of each exercise. If the moves are too easy with each one…

Those might sound low, but if you look at the OP profile, it appears she has some health concerns where a more speedier weight loss might be ok for her and she may be under the advice of a doctor as well. To the OP: It doesn't take much to make up that difference. I agree with what some others have said. Maybe an extra…

Ya, I am newer here and learned very quickly that anyone who mentions the dreaded 1200 calories gets jumped on immediately. Next time say you eat more and you will get better responses. For me snooping around looking at diaries it seems most people lose weight eating between 1200 and 1500 calories, but by the time they…

I try and eat fish once a day as it seems like a low calorie protein/meat source. I would just go by the packaging. If it says a 100 do a 100. I eat more of the tilapia from the brand I use and it says 80 calories, so I just count as 80.

Great job!! I did not read all the replies you received but I could see where a lot of them were going. I think whatever works for you is a great plan! I think that people view weight loss in many, many different ways. There are multiple approaches to weight loss as well. Eat more, eat less, starvation, metabolism etc.…

You mention your heart rate monitor and it does not sound as pricey as the $100 -$200 ones I read about around here. Care to share the model #? There is such a variety and range of reviews for all these things, I have not been able to get myself to buy one yet.

Agree! They end up like puppy dogs just hanging around all the time even when you try and shoo them away. They can also get whiny and after awhile it's really not fun anymore, really. They are used to their money being their personality and don't have one of their own.

I saw that as well. Anyone else going to be glued to their tv/computer for the backyard interviews and the interviews the day after finale? Can't wait to see all their reactions to news from the outside world. I wonder if Julie will break it to them or if they will let their families or employers to do it first?

It's certain dry. Get a bottle and rub it on. Make sure you get your forehead and around your neck..... No seriously, I sweat a lot! I like it. It makes me feel like I am getting in a good workout and when it starts pouring down my face I just push myself harder. It's my motivator. To go with the above, my armpits are the…
