  • I feel the same way, esp b/c I'm not supposed to be eating eggs. I just do a protein shake. It's a little lower in calories than I'd like so I add some chia seeds and make sure to have a mid morning snack planned out. . . other than that, I agree. Breakfast. UUUGGGHHHH.
  • Homemade GF quinoa breakfast bars. Delicious.
  • Quinoa mac and cheese with spinach! If you want the recipes message me your email address and we'll send it out. It's so delicious.
  • I didn't read all the posts, and I'm not sure if this reply is already in there, but I heard once that you should put your legs out, while sitting in a chair, and write the alphabet with your toes, in the air. It stretches them and makes them feel so good. I've done this when my shins were sore and they felt better. I've…
  • Even if they turn brown, leave the pit in and you can just cut off the little bit of brown for a "fresh" looking avocado. You can make a black bean, bell pepper, green onion, walnut "salsa" (add a little salt and cumin) and stuff the avocado half. It's great for you. I also love to add this to chili. Or I eat it with a…
  • Yep. This will work. Just don't do it too long, or you'll lose all the salt/flavor.
  • I'm right there with you. In fact I did a search today to see what my "healthy" conception weight is. I can't find it anywhere. I have a friend who knows that if she's not under 200 lbs she will have to take a bunch of extra tests, but she's 6" shorter than me. Any ideas? (right now I'm 235). Also, I'm doing a cleanse,…
  • I recommend buying liquid stevia. They have a bunch of different flavors, but chocolate raspberry is a great option.
  • A friend of mine has the same problem, she's allergic to a lot of other foods, not just gluten, including corn and soy. . . I would recommend getting your blood tested for food intolerances. I have a great Dr., but she's in AZ and I'm not sure how much use that would be to you. I have found when I eat "bad" foods (I have a…
  • Blue cheese, beet walnut. Cranberry, pumpkin seed and feta. Tomato, cucumber, kalmata olive, feta. Goat cheese, cranberry, jicama.
  • I remember watching a talk show, and being gay/lesbian was a BIG deal on there, I couldn't figure out why people cared so much. It seemed totally normal to me. . . turns out, it is normal! :)
  • I'm 6'2'' and weigh 237. I lost 25 lbs in March and have kept it off, but have been up able to get the motivation to make the effort to lose more. My friend and I have a "bet" going, which we started about 6 weeks ago, but so far none of us have budged. I'm starting again today. No drinking. No "allergen" ridden food,…
  • Marinade them in honey and apply cider vinegar, about equal parts for no more than 4 hours, 20 minues works too. Take them out, dry them off, season with S&P and broil them close to the heat source and serve. So easy and yummy.
  • Just make some egg "muffins" on a Sunday, either freezer or put them in the fridge, and microwave on your way out the door, or at work. My guess is that this won't work at all for eggs. They get hard just sitting in a steam bath. . .
  • Today I'm starting my weekly goal of walking 14 miles/week. I can walk back and forth to work, 1.4miles each way, and if I do that every day that's 14 miles. . . so far off to a good start. Other than that, just working and making a meatless monday dinner.
  • I make these using an egg substitute. So good! Lemon Rosemary Mini-Muffinsprinter friendly ¼ cup coconut flour ½ teaspoon celtic sea salt ½ teaspoon baking soda 2 eggs ¼ cup agave nectar ¼ cup grapeseed oil 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped 1 tablespoon lemon zest, packed and heaping In a large bowl, combine coconut…
  • LongTallSally.com is a great place. They have inseams from 35" to 39" (I'm 37" without heels).
  • I'm 6'2''. I'm used to it, but I'm sure my 5'4'' partner and I make a funny site, especially when I'm in heels.
  • Fantastic movie that I show to all my "new" friends . . .if they don't like it, we re-evaluate our friendship :)
  • I don't know how to make just one dish with all this stuff, but you can peel the apples and cook them in some apple juice (or water) with some sugar (honey, agave) and cinamon and a pinch of salt and make apple sauce. I'd slice the potatoes really thing and grill them with onions and bell pepper and some seasoning (salt,…
  • Ha ha. Touche.
  • The ratio for rice:liquid is 1:1.5. The easiest way to cook rice is in the oven, you won't have to open and stir or guess when it's done. Just add some oil and your garlic (I like to add a little diced shallot or onion now), add your rice and season with salt (you can throw in some fresh thyme, bay leaf, whatever you have)…
  • You can also add some walnuts and cinamon. These are very tasty!
  • It's not the easiest, but it's by far the tastiest. I also make it lasagna style with some grilled eggplant layers. Ingredients 6 medium red bell peppers (use any you find, I like poblano) 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO) 1 1/2 pounds all-white meat ground chicken (ground turkey is fine) Salt and freshly ground…
  • Yep! Chinese food has all of them often :)
  • I'd be careful with the aluminum foil. . . it's been linked to alzheimers. http://alzheimers.org.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=99
  • I have the exact same problem and found that I'm intolerant to gluten, wheat, oats. . . etc. Rice doesn't cause me to have this issue at all. You should try quinoa. It's like a normal carb, but good for you!
  • I just read a magazine article that coffee is pretty good for you. Has antioxidants. They say just to make sure to limit it.
