Just finished my second week on saxenda and have lost about 7 lbs. so far it's working very well for me with only mild side effects - some burping and mild nausea if I overeat. It is amazing how much it has curbed my appetite. My question is to those who claim that say you will gain all the weight back once you stop it -…

I am terrible at planning my meals, so I started buying meal replacement shakes and bars. Is it the tastiest thing ever? No. But it's enough that I can have a meal quickly without eating out and without having to think about it in advance.

Feel free to add me! SW: 220 CW: 211 GW: 140 5' 4", age 24

I'm 5' 4", 212 lbs (just lost 8 from 220!) and am looking for friends, too!

I would love to join! I have about 80 lbs total to lose but would love to start with 20 by new years!

Aww - she's precious! IDK, I definitely think it depends it's what kind of riding you do. Trail rides probably don't do much, but I was in a couple of stirrup-free dressage lessons and I could barely move for days, lol.

My doc said it completely doesn't matter, and you can take it whenever as long as it's about 24 hours apart. I take mine right after my breakfast and coffee every morning, and my thyro levels have been great *shrug* Oh, and the warning about a full glass of water - that's because the pill expands and is considered a…

Good luck to her! Carrots are great treats for dogs - good for their teeth and low cal!

So true - sometimes the emotional support is the best!

Hey, feel free to add me as a friend! I'm definitely doing a reduced carb diet. I try to keep my carbs to two starches and 3 fruits a day, everything else is veggies and lean meat! Portion control definitely goes a long with that, too. I'm definitely a bread addict - I was the girl that ate all the dinner rolls before…

23 and in need of more encouraging friends!! Adddd me ^_^

I have self control. I also, in the begining, don't want to set myself up for failure. That means instead of saying "I won't eat another cookie" I say "eating on cookie will make me want 4 more, so maybe I just won't eat the cookie." Maybe I will be a little more lenience after I develop my healthy habits first, but for…

I agree 100% that calorie deficit is what is making me lose weight. But eating mostly clean food allows me to eat the volume I want and gain the maximum nutrients possible with overall fewer calories.
-
Yup, everyone is different!! Cake makes me want more cake :P
-
From my perspective it is far easier to overeat cake than overeat fresh brocolli. COULD I do it? Maybe, if I REALLY tried. Am I likely to do it? No.
-
Haha, the problem for me is I didn't want one cookie. I wanted the whole damn box. If I can't eat the whole thing, I'd rather not have one at all.

Granted I have been only doing this for about a month, but I can absolutely say that my craving for junk food have decreased. A LOT. I used to eat fast food almost daily, and the more I ate the more I wanted it. Part of it was definitely habit. For some of us, greasy, fatty, high cal food is/was a literal addiction - that…

For me, eating clean (somewhere between 90-99% clean on any given day) means only eating things that are beneficial to my body and not overly processed. Veggies, fruits, lean meat (that I cook myself) and the occasional piece of whole wheat bread for a sandwich. This allows me to eat a higher quality and larger volume of…

Ah. Well... that sucks.

Last night I had one taco salad and some chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant - a cheat meal for sure but the rest of the day I ate clean.

Hi Ashley! My name is Staci and I know how you feel! I definitely gained the freshman 15, then 5-10 more during my college days. Now I am a first-year veterinary student and got the "freshman 15" all over again! Something about big school transitions, poor eating habits, and STRESS makes you just pack on the pounds!…

I eat just about 1200 calories a day and I just want to say that as long as you are eating the right things you are NOT necessarily starving yourself, despite what others may say. When you eat a lot of fruits and veggies (like 8+ servings combined) it's really easy to feel full and stay super low cal. I add lean meat, a…

I am doing the lifestyle change for sure. Basically what you do is each day you get 4 veggies, 3 fruits, 2 carbs, 2 proteins, and 1 dairy, and you can mix and match those how you want (you get a list of what counts for each category). Plus 64 oz of water. I do think I really need the strucuture - I was on MFP for about 9…

Dance is not cardio?

What's more exciting, is today I did my body measurements, and I am officially no longer "overweight" by BF standard. 32% baby!

I just went to my favorite restaurant tonight, had sliders and breadsticks, AND went to the movie theaters and got a med popcorn. Did I binge? Yes. Did I make myself sick.... yes. But I had a great time. Popcorn at the movie theaters at this point is just not something I am willing to give up. I was also over my calorie…

Oh, I totally agree with you! Just got my BS in Biology and am heading to vet school, and I more than gained the freshman fifteen. I know this fall, if I was not starting on my weight loss journey now, I would gain even more. With me I don't have to to deal with the "practice what you preach" so much, as my patients…

It's really hard to say, considering that calories burned depends so much on your size and fitness level. Maybe someone more experienced can help, but I would guess that your best bet would be to measure your heart rate during the activity (you can do this just by measuring your pulse a few times if you don't have a…

True that. If I have ANY changes my grandmother make sure everyone knows!
