  • I am 5'4 and a year ago I was at about 115, I started insanity and did 5 rounds before switching to T25. I am the same basic size as I was a year ago and I am at 122. What all of these stupid charts don't factor in is your bone structure ( my ring size is a 3, yes, 3 and my wrists are smaller than my 8 year old son who is…
  • Muscle weighs more than fat, so you may be losing fat as you gain muscle making it hard to tell you have lost fat.
  • Definitely go see a dr ASAP. My sister in law at age 25 thought she had some sensitivities to food, then her doctor said Crohn's disease, and then she finds out later that she has a form of intestinal cancer and now has a port installed in her chest for regular radiation treatments. And it all started with the runs…
  • It depends on your heart rate. http://www.calories-calculator.net/Calories_Burned_By_Heart_Rate.html This website might help you get a better estimate.
  • Ladies, I am so sorry to hear so any people whose lives are driven by the number on the scale, even after a significant weight loss. I can see the worry about gaining, but if you lost the weight in a healthy manner to start with- diet AND exercise, and created some lifestyle changes in the process, then it should not be an…
  • If you have recently dropped a lot of body fat it will mess with your hormones. I can tell when my body fat drops under about 20 because my cycles go from 28 days to 36 days. The first time I had that happen I freaked- I already have five kids, my career was on track, and I was fit. When it happened again, I saw the doctor…
  • And, with each if my babies, it got worse...
  • Quinoa is your friend. So easy! I cook mine in organic low sodium vegetable broth, and throw in some broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, onions, carrots, Brussels sprouts, whatever Vegis I have on the fridge. Fool proof, filling, low calorie!
  • I can completely relate! I am 5'4, and was about 117. I wanted to get down to about 113 so my clothes would fit better because after five kids and pushing 40, I had gained a little. I decided last February to start insanity, and I initially lost and hit my goal, but then I gained and I am up to about 121. I think it is all…
  • I'm not on here often enough to commit, but I feel your pain- I have five kids ( 19, 18, 16, 10, and 8) and am an elementary school principal. When my oldest were babies I was a teacher, so I know how stressful your life can be. What I can say is track your calories, be aware of your reason and purpose for eating, and…
  • I put a pinch of cardamom in the grounds before brewing to give it some sweet and nicely spiced flavor. Then just a tbsp of whole milk.
  • I had mine done in 1992 when I was 17. I was a 32 g. It was ugly. I went in weighing 103 and was 96 upon post surgery exam. I paid every last cent- it was my first financed purchase, my mom consigned the loan. Now, five children later, ( and being a healthy athletic 120 lbs) I joke that I have a B worth of meat, and a G…
  • Having completed the entire insanity program several times, I would suggest that if you are going to do doubles that you are careful with your diet and macros so you get enough nutrition to support two work outs. When I do doubles and don't get enough to eat I gain.
  • Get a fitness video, check out team beachbody.com and look at some of those programs!
  • Insanity is awesome, but you will get better results when you eat clean- eliminate fast good and you will easily drop a few in the last few lbs in your last weeks. Good food in is good energy out
  • I would suggest something light, egg white omelette with Vegis, or Greek yogurt with fruit- protein and fiber, and light on the cals.
