  • For years I have gone back & forth with working out at home after work, and only doing it 2-3x a week and then tapering down to nothing...it was always a chore. Even if I got to the point where it felt great, most days I would sit at my desk thinking of excuses not to do it, fawning over the thought of throwing on my…
  • I love walking on an incline for 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Just switched to morning workouts. 1 banana before workout, yogurt with granola (great source of protein) right after. After an hour or 2 I will have my oatmeal. I did really well the first 2 mornings, but thismorning I got lightheaded & nautious...I guess due to overexertion :( Hopefully I'll be back on track tomorrow.
  • I tried a free class for the first time yesterday. I almost passed out during the workout & I want to die to day :)
  • I'm doing it about 2x a week too...boy is it tough! I'd like to meet someone who can do this all the way through. I feel great though :)
  • I'm going to start doing "Banish Fat Boost Metabolism" 40 minute circuit workout. I did it a few years ago when it was free on demand, until they took it away :( I finally broke down & ordered the dvd. It is very hard, I was never able to do the full 40 minutes. Can't wait to get started again!
  • I think the sinus stuff I took this morning made me a bit queasy too...I'm going to wait until this afteroon after it's worn off to see how I feel. I mean, I guess I can go try, & if I start to feel sick just say let's stop. I'm just frustrated with these roadblocks!
  • Half an hour, 3-4 times a week. I do a kickboxing video, but if I feel like changing it up I'll do half an hour on the tredmill (as soon as I get home from work). I would ove to go back to the gym & do curcuits with weights but I'm moving soon so I can't really join. I also started taking the stairs every morning at work…
  • You may want to take an iron supplement...all of the bleeding is probably causing anemia, which will cause fatigue. It almost sounds like you are bleeding while you are ovulating, since you ovulate in between periods? I hope your doctor can help!
  • Coors Light...haha just kidding
  • You are probably eating too little. MFP is extremely low with their calorie goals. Mine was 1200 for a while, and my brother (who is a trainer) said that's way too low & I'm probably starving myself. I upped my calorie intake & am already feeling much better. You may want to consult with a trainer or doctor to confirm how…
  • No problem. I have Comcast/Xfinity, they have all different kinds of workouts. I don't know if other cable providers have it. I'm a little depressed because we are moving and will have a different cable provider (back to Direct TV) & I don't know if they will have the workout videos :-/
  • Jillian Michaels posted on facebook once that what matters is consistency-so if you work out in the morning, only work out in the morning, if you work out at night, do it every night, don't bounce around on your time of day.
  • Do you have on demand? My cable provider has an entire fitness section thats free. I like to do kickboxing.
  • I don't know what cable provider you have...but I do kickboxing with Jill Coleman...it's on demand w/ Comcast/Xfinity. It kicks butt & I feel a big difference after just a couple of workouts. I need to do more stuff with weights but I'm going to be moving soon so why pay for a gym membership
  • Northwest (soon to be central) Jersey here
  • MFP gives you an amount of calories to eat assuming you did not exercise that day. If your calorie goal is 1500, that's what you can lose weight on without exercise. So, yes, if you eat 1500, and burn 400, you are only taking in 1100 which is too low.
  • Wow thanks for all of the yummy suggestions! You are right, 1200 isn't enough. I just manually changed my goal to 1500. My brother is a trainer, & he said 1200 is way too low unless I am 125 pounds, which I am not (otherwise I would not be here lol). Yesterday I felt very sluggish & I didn't eat enough at work, so I made…
  • Thanks, maybe I'll try that. I worry about it because I'm not a huge fan of fruits & vegetables.
  • I used to try & take a multivitamine but it would make me feel sick....does anyone else feel sick after taking one? Right now I just take iron during TOM
  • I have been on a sleep medication, as well...and unfortunately I am addicted to it. Try what other suggested before asking for a prescription. Melatonin is a natural sleep aid & it is not addictive, so you may want to try that. Make sure you keep a regular pattern...go to bed the same time & get up at the same time. If you…
  • I drink close to a gallon & a half a day.
  • Oh how I hate my bottomless pit feeling during pms. If I'm craving something...I usually eat it. If I can, I will try to do a workout to work it off. I have found that the worst thing I can do is deprive myself of the 'bad stuff' completely.
  • 5/7 142 pounds...you are basically at MY goal weight haha :) I looked at your pics & I don't think you look overweight at all. If you are doing lots of cardio & feel you are missing something, I agree with the others & would suggest trying weights...but looks wise, you look great!
  • I drink between 1-1.5 gallons per day.
  • I used Christmas money to buy a treadmill. I like to sometimes jog, sometimes walk on an incline. There isn't really a safe area to do that outside my home, & I didn't want to spend money on the gym. I have it facing my TV & I love it!
  • Popsecret-I like the Homestyle Popcorn
  • What about a bag of popcorn...the one I eat is 150 calories...so I don't even have to think about it.
  • Not quitting after I have only lost 7 or 8 pounds (when my goal is 30!) Office parties & family get togethers with every yummy bad thing immaginable Avoiding alcohol Weekends Restaurants that don't have healthy choice menus
