I will second the dehydration comments. If you aren't taking in enough water then you will feel nauseous, light headed, weak, etc. Especially if you are running and then lifting weights as well. Are you feeling sick after you do your weights workout or before? In any case, make sure the day before you run you are hydrating…

It's a personal choice. One that I happened to make. I have 4, all have significant meaning to me. (I am also itching for another one- top of my ribs area) A lot of my friends have them. Tattooing is an art and should be treated as such. You would pay good money for a piece of art that you hang in your house, why wouldn't…

Lift heavy, incorporate some cardio, drink lots of water. If diet is an issue, try picking whole grains, lean meats, fruits and veggies. Allow yourself to satisfy cravings by fitting it into your calories for the day. Bottom line, if you want to feel better you will find a way, if you don't you will find an excuse.

Running outside. The treadmill or rather the dreadmill sucks all the life out of me. If I want to do stairs I'll walk up a flight of them. Running frees my mind, and being outside I get to see and hear nature (I don't run with music) :)

It's all in your head. I go jogging on main roads and save for the very rare horn beep- I can look at passing cars (I run against traffic) and no one is looking at me. If running outside makes you feel good, than go with that feeling and do it. Most of the time when I see someone running I want to yell at them and tell…

Most stores carry fruit cups and greek yogurt. You can get one of those and water. If you like tea, try the iced passion tea (its also caffeine free if that is an issue for you). We also carry coconut milk now as a dairy free option besides soy milk. Could always get a Syrup cream ( so just the steamed milk and a flavor.…

The truth is that if you fit the calories into your allotment for the day, you can have the full fat mac and cheese or Ice Cream everyday. I lost 25 lbs. I ate ice cream every night- I just ate the recommended serving size and counted the calories. Is that a sacrifice? To me no. I get what I want. With anything its in…

Caloric Deficit- eating less calories than you need to maintain your current weight. This website when you setup your profile will ask you how many lbs per week you want to lose, and what your current activity level is (sedentary i.e. you have a desk job, lightly active, etc) and it gives you a number of calories you are…

2 lbs week is a healthy recommendation. So 2 lbs a week x 4 weeks= 8 lbs a month x 3 months = 24 lbs. So is 40 lbs realistic, not really. Here is your other problem, seeing this as a diet. If you want to lose the weight and keep it off, this is an entire lifestyle change. Not only what you eat, but your portion sizes, etc.…

It takes 3,500 calories over and above your daily intake to gain a pound. So eating one huge meal isn't going to tip you over. More than likely you are retaining water. Everyones body weight fluctuates daily between 2-5 lbs. Especially during the TOM most women bloat which causes the number on the scale to go up. Stick to…

Great Dane, Australian Shepherd. Can't have a dog at the current moment, but cannot wait until I can. I had one from second grade until my senior year of college (golden retriever the fur!!) and miss having a dog.

The secret was- I didn't know there was a photographer, and I was coming down a small incline after a hill- so I was feeling sweet relief and being able to see the finish line in sight. Also putting my energy into helping that other girl out, I was determined to finish strong so she could as well.
-
Actually- as I was coming to the finish, I saw the women next to me struggling, so I ran over to her and said "you have come this far, you are finishing the race.. come on will run together". They were also playing music at the finish and the song "Call Me Maybe" was on, so I started singing it to her... lol. Needless to…

I ran my first half marathon last year with a couple family members. We had a contest to see who could take the best race photo. Mine as chosen as the winner- I think for having just run 13.1 miles, I don't look half bad!

I totally thought this was going to turn out differently (that someone made you feel bad). How awesome is that though?! We all need pick me ups now and again! Just a testament you your hard work!
