I first hopped on the treadmill at the suggestion of a friend (over one year ago) due to high levels of anxiety. It was one of those "seasons" of life that I just kept getting kicked...and I didn't know what to do with all that stress/emotion.... Now, nearly 14 months later, I MISS my work out when I miss my work out!! I…

truth is there is some protein in almost everything...including greens. I use nuts and seeds (walnuts, almonds, cashews, sunflower, flax and chia seeds, primarily) and nut butters. I also use beans and lentils and avocados, quinoa I hit my protein target most days. I am currently researching protein powders and have…

My experience with green tea has been positive. I brew my own from tea bags, not bottled....I drink between 1 and 5 cups a day. Today, in fact, I had a green tea in place of my morning coffee. It helps me energy wise and when I am wanting to snack or craving sugar/sweet, I have a cup of tea first and see if that doesn't…

today: quinoa (which I cooked previously) with some berries and flax seed meal thrown in.

that is a pretty broad statement...not all men find the same things/qualities/features attractive. Just as we women are attracted to different looks in guys. Confidence is sexy. So do things that build your confidence and the rest will follow. Just my .02. take it for what you paid for it.

Energy, nutrients. But I don't think you should have to choke it down...depends where you got it/made it, what's in it. I have had some gross ones and some that were delish. Keep trying/experimenting.

a half is on my goal list... doing my first 5k at the end of this month.

I have and use mfp I like runkeeper-on the computer. the ap not so much. I've been using mapmyrun and I like it, because it uses gps to track my mileage run/walk/bike and uploads to the website....but it seems to be draining/killing my battery..... so I'm still looking for a good mobile ap to track workouts/runs

fruit and nut butter I boil a bunch of eggs when I buy them, then they are ready/easy to grab and eat. For bars, which will do in a pinch-not every day I like Lara, Clif and Kind. Cheese sticks/wedges/slices

You're not being stupid. Sorry your family is giving you a hard time. It's your body, what you put into it is up to you. Maybe go for a stroll around the block? Hang in there, this time of year is tough, family togetherness can be tough.

Every body has days where life feels overwhelming. I've had my fair share, although for different reasons. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself time to process, grieve really. Then, figure out what you gotta do to take care of yourself. Eating right and exercising go a very long way in managing PCOS. Life is what it is. Yes,…

I'm doing a 50 mile year end (Thanksgiving to New Year's) jog/walk/run challenge. almost half way there.....I'm a newbie runner and this is pushing me a little-to run more and longer.

I kind of have to force myself to take rest days, but I know I need them. They are good for me and as important as the eating healthy and working out....I do get antsy though...and I have a "rule" 2 rest days in a row is my limit-the third consecutive day is no longer rest (barring illness/injury) it's slacking off. So…

Sure it's possible.... The Biggest Loser this season lost 220 pounds. and the person in 2nd place lost 202 pounds. In 7 months. Granted, that's not real life, most of us have jobs and family/life obligations that keep us from focusing on weight loss 24/7 but the point is IT IS POSSIBLE! Who cares how long it takes us? It's…

depends on your goals. I have added strength training (weights, interval training, pilates and yoga) to my workout mix. I have to do different things to keep myself interested-and I feel better working out different ways, different parts of my body. I strength train because I want to be stronger/fitter and because I want…

I can't speak to the cold/snow, but I am a newbie runner and what I do is alternate treadmill and outdoor runs. I'm building up some endurance. And when I do run on the tread, I set the incline at least to 2, usually to 4. You can do it-you will find a way.

drinking enough water? fatigue is one of the signs of dehydration. Just a thought. For natural energy boosts, I like bee pollen (the whole granules, not a supplement/capsule), omega 3's and b vitamins.

I don't but would love to do this too....hopefully someone knows of something.
