Never ever trust the machine, even if you enter your weight, because they're usually very wrong. A HRM will verify the amount of calories that you're actually burning. I can predict from the info that you provided that you're probably burning 1/2 of that (roughly 300 cals).

In my personal opinion, I would most certainly consider invest in a Polar FT4 (or any of their other models) if you are performing cardiovascular activity (treadmill, elliptical, biking etc.). If you are looking for something that will track your calories burned over the course of the entire day I would not get a HRM as…

Hi there! I am so happy to see that there are other people on the forum that suffer from food allergies, as well. I come from a very food-allergy prone family, so I can most certainly relate to you. I am anaphylactic to peanuts, tree nuts, all other nuts, and coconut. I am also allergic to soy (able to tolerate soybean…

I'm 5'4 and my goal weight is my pre-college weight of 100 pounds. Currently, I am 106-107 pounds. While to some people this is considered underweight, I have a very petite frame despite being average height.

Always trust your HRM over the machine. I have been on my fair share of treadmills and have found that it really varies depending upon the treadmill. Sometimes my HRM shows much less than the treadmill shows and other times my HRM shows much more than the treadmill shows. Even if you input your weight before you begin, the…

It's comments like this that really irk me. Rather than raining on her parade by trying to "trash" her new discovery, how about you do a little bit of research before you post ONE year old articles. Yes, one year ago, it was found that a few of the flavors were over 150 calories per pint, but Arctic Zero has tweaked their…

If you are choosing to do IIFYM, you DO NOT eat your exercise calories back. You eat whatever you have calculated as your macros. It already calculates a calorie allotment based upon your physical activity.
