  • thank you!!
  • I'm doing a group challenge with my friends and family and would like to try to track all of our percentage lost weekly :)
  • @rickc74 that's awesome congrats! Sometimes the best work outs are the ones you do when you almost didn't even do one! I think for me it's some psyche thing - almost like you could stop any time because you wouldn't have done it anyway, so going the extra mile (literally in your case) is a bonus so you keep pushing :)
  • @bpkal nice job!!! Keep up the great work!! :D
  • Do not compete against others.. Compete tomorrow against the person you were the day before. <3
  • Congratulations everyone!! So happy with how much weight this group has lost!
  • So glad to have you be a part of this! I'm not planning on closing the group, there are still plenty of good tips & motivational posts that I think everyone should be able to see :) I will continue to post here if you guys continue to as well!
  • Thanks! Losing weight over a longer period of time may be good in the long run but on the other hand I am SO impatient hahaha, it makes it difficult for me to stay focused when I don't see results right away. But I will keep plugging away, every time I have a goal date set it stresses me out so I'm not going to set one,…
  • SW Feb: 235lbs SW 3/19: 226 GW Sept 1: 190lbs 3/25: 223 4/29: 217 5/27: 212.6 6/24: 209 7/28: 205 8/5: 204 8/12: 202 8/19: 202 8/26: 206 9/2: 205 So I did not meet my goal this challenge but I am super happy with my results regardless! It's been an interesting journey, it's going slow but it's going, and I can't complain.…
  • I should also mention -- I have had my share of "cheat days" and I always try to prepare myself mentally for the price I'll pay because of it. I give myself one "cheat meal" and I log it BEFORE I EAT IT to see what the damage is -- I make sure that I know what to expect. It always shows up on the scale in a day or two --…
  • Boy, does it take a giant bite out of my motivation -- I have to tell myself "don't worry, it'll come right back off" -- Because it always will. Think of it like a temporary gas tank visit. That weight won't stay after you're back on track. Think of like a long "cheat week". Changes like that can be good every now and…
  • I want to give a big shout out to @joannemonette1 & @rickc74 for meeting their goals with this challenge! You guys have really dedicated and have inspired me! I'm so proud of you both! I want to apologize for not weighing in on Friday, I had a whirlwind of a day & my service wasn't good so I didn't get a chance to post :(…
  • Thank you for this post, I wish I had seen it before I left! I was able to log into MFP every day but not able to post for some reason :( my service was really bad! But anyway, I will definitely be getting measuring tape so I can keep track in the future. I've been weighing myself in the mornings for awhile now, but I'm…
  • That's incredible, I'm so excited for you!! Congrats!!
  • @joannemonette1 nice loss!!
  • SW Feb: 235lbs SW 3/19: 226 GW Sept 1: 190lbs 3/25: 223 4/29: 217 5/27: 212.6 6/24: 209 7/28: 205 8/5: 204 8/12: 202 8/19: 202 I'm a wee bit disappointed in my scale this week :/ I feel like I worked just as hard last week as I did this week. Maybe not though. All of my clothes have been loose for awhile now but I did…
  • I'm actually participating in one other challenge right now that's kind of an ongoing Biggest Loser challenge, so I may stay a part of that or join a new one. Being a part of these challenges really does help me stay on track too!
  • Paleo is a diet based on the types of foods presumed to have been eaten by early humans, consisting chiefly of meat, fish, vegetables, and fruit, and excluding dairy or grain products and processed food. So basically, just clean eating, veggies/fruits/meats. Low carb has worked pretty well for me so far, I've actually read…
  • My plans after this challenge is to either continue doing what I'm doing or switch up my diet 100%. I'm kind of leaning towards switching my diet. I've been doing low carb for months, since February actually (with a few hiccups here and there of course). But I'm considering doing Paleo diet or clean eating. I do need a…
  • Hahaha same here!! The feeling you get after accomplishing the run is incredible. It's kind of like that with any exercise, like, I don't like to workout but I like to HAVE worked out. :D
  • Yesterday I decided to hit the treadmill, it's been disgustingly humid outside so I've been avoiding walking outside. Decided to push myself just a bit and thought, I'm going to run 2 laps on the treadmill (half mile) I've only previously ran for 5 minutes at a time. I got my 2 laps done and then decided to push for…
  • @rickc74 that's great, congrats!!
  • Whoops I am doing this from my phone and didn't realize there was another page haha, glad you got your run in! Treadmill running is definitely better especially with AC :D
  • Thanks! Had my first incomplete run this morning. Got through 16 of the 28 minutes then packed it in. Way too hot, I was getting a bit dizzy and figured it was better to try again when it's cooler than to pass out on the trail. We have been under a heat advisory - I thought going in the morning and in the shade of the…
