I'm new to a challenge like this, but it looks like good accountability! I'll weigh on Fridays as well. February Start Weight: 163lbs February Goal Weight: 157lbs Ultimate Goal Weight: 142 lbs Feb 5: lbs Feb 12: lbs Feb 19: lbs Feb 26: lbs Feb 28: lbs

So, this is a question I have been struggling with lately. MFP gives me 1200 cals per day (and always has) when I put my goals and stats in. Recently I was looking at Macros Inc. and tried their calculator which gave me a target of 1610 cals and about 135 grams of protein. This was considered a “painful” deficit. I can’t…

@IDARae I have been up and down over the years. I managed to lose a little more weight after each of my three kids, but my youngest is now 13 and my weight has crept up over the past several years. I lost 20lbs about 3 years ago, but have gained 10 of it back. I also do a lot of strength training as I want to fight bone…

@mizalmond Thank you! Will have to look into this...I've had one for about 6 years and have definitely struggled with a slow, but steady gain over that time (most of the weight I am currently working to lose). I've been thinking about being done with it recently anyway...maybe once we are a little more back to 'normal'…

Hello All! It's been a busy couple of weeks with work and a few 'staycation' days. I haven't been checking in, but have been logging. It's great to see new faces all the time and I can't help, but read these messages and feel so encouraged that I am not alone!! This struggle has been with me since the 3rd grade and while…

Hello All! For those in Canada, Happy Victoria Day! I've been away from this board for most of the past week. It's great to see so many new faces...we are all in this together! Please feel free to add me as a friend if you like :) Work from home has been hectic and somewhat stressful lately. This means that I spent a…

@Mountainlove YES! I am facing out my front window and was watching snowflakes during a meeting this morning! I was just reading back some comments I had missed...sounds like a fascinating photography project you are working on. What a cool way to document this time! It will really be something to look back on. My kids are…

Happy Monday All! How is it that I can never get to this until the end of the day? @PedmomJill I completely understand trying to plow through the volume of Monday messages and emails. The only way I get a workout in on Monday is to get up before anyone else in my household and get it in. I actually work in mental health at…

Just a short post here this morning...woke up to beautiful weather and am looking forward to getting outdoors with my family. Yesterday I was feeling really good about having done well with my nutrition and calorie goals all week, so I weighed in a day early and have lost a little over 2lbs this week! Did a little victory…

Happy may All! I'm checking in here as I finish my very brief lunch break...It's finally getting warmer here (Southern Ontario, Canada) and we are looking forward to being able to get out in some good weather this weekend! @Mountainlove we are working on expanding our garden this year. Building some bigger boxes for raised…

@PedmomJill I've been using BOD for about three years (minus some breaks for low motivation or injury). I'm also a big Joel fan :) I tried 80DO, but the work with the loops irritated my lower back. I was sad about that as it seems to be a great program for results. I recently started 10 Rounds, but all the bouncing was…

Hello again! I thought I posted this morning, but don't see it in the thread...that's what I get for trying to be on here while I should be working :-/. Forgive me if it's there somewhere and I am repeating! @foodie4run Thanks for the add! I have found and added others. It is a crappy feeling when the scale doesn't do what…

Hi All! I’m so happy to have found this group and hoping I can become a part of it. I am in need of motivation and accountability. Weight has been a struggle my entire life and now that I’m at 45 I’m finding it even tougher. I have been slowly gaining over the past year following a back injury and lots of work to regain…

Me too! Glad I'm not alone.

My chiropractor has given me one stretch to do at home so far and has ok'd walking on the treadmill with no incline. Although it sounds like your pain was much more severe than mine, I also have a desk job and commute 1 1/2 to 2 hours each day. I've been researching different exercises as well and it looks like most…

Thanks for the insights! Looks like I will be asking for a referral to a physiotherapist if this continues. I have been doing some research around strengthening and/or stretching as well and am hopeful to find the right combo to maintain things in a better state once I get there.

So, I posted earlier that I'm loving this program...I was previously doing cardio on my treadmill each morning and then some mixed classes (trx, ripped, circuit and yoga) on my lunch hours at work. I reduced my treadmill time in the morning to make time for T25, thinking that a more intense workout would burn as many or…

I just started on Monday too :) Loving it so far! Feel free to add me.

Hi...I had the same issue a little while ago and the folks here were super helpful. I bought a scale and realized that I wasn't as accurate as I thought in my portions (even using measuring cups wasn't as accurate as weighing). I worked to be more consistent with using the scale and accurate. Since then, I've managed to…

So, I'm logging more accurately...got a scale and am weighing most things. I find it difficult when someone else prepares a meal or we are not at home, but am doing my best to be as accurate as I can. I am planning my meals for the day and portioning things using my scale or pre-portioned foods. I think it's helping, so…

It's a flex...It only tracks steps and sleep as far as I know. I've enabled the negative calorie adjustment on here and so thought it was taking off any extra projected calories burned when I sync it each time. I must have misunderstood how that was working.
-
Okay...I will either disable the fitbit adjustments or stop logging...I like logging so that hopefully, I will increase what I'm able to do over time. However, I do want to be accurate. I usually measure my portions, but will also try the scale and look for more accurate options. Thanks! I'm not typically eating back my…

Thanks all...I will work on the fiber and get a kitchen scale. As for recipes...I have chosen some from online and for other things that I make or recipes I've gotten online, I've input them into the database. I will be more careful with this! Malibu927 - the fitbit adjustment confuses me, but I am relatively new to that…

Late to join the thread here, but I think I might fit...add me if you like. I am a mom to three kids and working two jobs right now. I have been away from mfp for a while, but coming back and hoping to be consistent. Right now, I need to figure out how to make exercise more consistent and get back to cleaner eating.
