Thanks everyone, so far I have frozen some pasta dishes and chicken noodle soup. I'll also be preparing a few freezer-to-crockpot dishes. Thank you for sharing your links, tips, and well wishes

Yes it has, the app is a very convenient and easy to use tool to track your calorie intake. Weigh and measure your food for better accuracy. And log EVERYTHING! Even when you ate more than intended or having a bad day. It makes you much more aware of everything you eat and the amount of calories that is in certain foods. I…

Hey there, I've sent a request to join the group. I've been on mfp for years, and on a weight loss journey once again.. Feeling a bit lonely while trying to do this by myself.
-
Thank you Tavistock. I have been a part of that group for several years now, lovely group, but not what I was asking about. I'm looking for communities of runners who join virtual races.

Alright thank you  I'll unlink my fitbit, I think that'll make things a bit easier. So my diary will be about the food and nothing else.

Thank you both for your answers  I think I am confusing myself because of the numbers on mfp. For example today it says I got 200 exercise calories and I'm netting 1250. Previously I used this info to maintain a specific deficit every day. But now my numbers are based on my TDEE average of 1790. I had a good day so…

You [and others in this thread] can add me if you like  I'm still gaining weight after huge changes in my life and dealing with health issues, so it's been a real struggle. Not feeling like myself anymore, not fitting into my clothes anymore. I've lost weight by counting calories before so I know how it works,…

Feel free to add me as well :) https://www.fitbit.com/user/26CDQZ

I loved my Fitbit zip a few years ago, then lost the dongle thingie... Now I got an Alta two days ago :) I'm not aiming for the 10k just yet, but primarily to move a little more every day. Anyone else looking for friends, you can add me if you wish :) https://www.fitbit.com/user/26CDQZ

Well done!

Beautiful, well done!

You look great, there's definitely a big difference! I had this experience the other way around, zipped up my longsleeve lightweight running jacket this week after not wearing it for several months, and it's so tight around the hips that it creeps up immediately, grrr! Since my pants started to get tight as well it wasn't…

Awesome progress, you look great!

I think measuring yourself and taking photo's gives you a much better picture of how your size changed.

Count me in! I'm turning 35 in October and would like to get to a healthy BMI by then

Wearing a dress for the first time in my adult life. I had convinced myself that my legs are just too fat, jiggly and bumpy to show in public. While I'm still a little overweight at the moment, and I'm still self conscious about my legs, I have made a bunch of skirts to take with me on vacation and I do plan to wear them!

I don't really look at it as 'starting again' because it's been an ongoing journey for me and I know it always will be. There have been times when I completely focused on losing weight, and times when other things in life became a priority. A year ago I just got out of a stressful, long-term relationship and quickly put on…

Thank you all for the suggestions! I'll definitely try the options given here until it tastes good or I get sick of it lol  The brand itself is Dutch which is why it's probably unknown to many of you ;-) Their banana protein powder is absolutely delicious, and I like the other two flavours I got (chocolate and…

One year ago today I weighed about 20lbs less. But I was feeling absolutely miserable. That day I decided to stay elsewhere for two weeks, because my relationship had been the cause of lots of stress and grief for a long time and I knew it couldn't go on like that. It ended four weeks later after 19+ years together. Today…

Anyone else? I'm starting practise tonight :-)

My weight loss journey has been a long one and I'm not there yet. But this year I've made some good progress :-) In 2013: I lost about 8kg/18lbs (total lost since highest 21kg/46lbs) I finally reached a healthy BMI for the first time in about 13 years. I went from couch potato to getting more active, and hiked a total of…

My hands have definitely changed. I'm short and my hands are tiny, but they were really chubby. I've lost about 45lbs over the past 3 years. My fingers now are much slimmer. I had a ring on my ringfinger that I can now wear on my thumb.

Thanks! Lol well they do deserve to get smacked! Initially I felt like, okay they know what they're doing and I don't. But they should've let me try it and THEN take it from there. When I did workout B2 I did find out that the bar is not 70lb, not even close! I asked someone and he told me it said 70. I looked myself this…

Here's my experience so far: Signed up for a gym, went to check it out and try workout A1. I asked one of the staff to help me with the squats. The guy showed me how to do it, but then didn't let me actually try it. Instead, I got placed in a corner somewhere with a light bar and was told to practice the move. Okay, not…

I did WW for several years and never got to a healthy BMI. I could stick with their program for several months at a time, but I'd always get to a point where it was so hard to get through the day on my points budget. After finding MFP I realized how little I had been eating on WW. 1000-1100 calories a day on WW versus the…
