  • I know the feeling. Skittles are not a meal, even though they say your plate should be like a rainbow....
  • I can walk like a normal person!! Honestly though, this is the first day!! That was BRUTAL.
  • Damn timbits!!! Goes to show you though-- there's no perfect time to start! And yep... Tomorrow. Just keep swimming there, Anne Shirley.
  • Ehn, I just quick add calories for some of those. It's a crap shoot anyway. As for the oatmeal, no way. It's likely using the cup as the dry amount. A regular serving is 1/3 cup dry. I know I have it in mine as something like "1/3 dry, prepared" or something. What ever it is, it matches up with what's on the bag!
  • Lol! I have to laugh-- about a year ago when I was working out a lot more, I posted something similar on fb about weaknesses and one of my good friends said something about how it was good to see that even someone like me had slip-ups. I was like "REALLY?? Have you met me?!?".
  • Speaking of eye opening.... I was doing well yesterday, and then ended up at McDonald's yesterday. Went for it with supper. After getting home late lastnight, and not logging...ended up eating a WHOLE box of mini ritz cheez sandwiches, because hell, I was over anyway. When I DID log this am, with the mcd's, I was still…
  • Holy!! Yeah, you need to up that.
  • Sure. Says you!! :s
  • I did not stay only a little over... Effing pie.. Looking at me... Dammit! And the WHOLE time I thought "I should just make some tea".
  • I ended up a little over ( not even looking at my macros!) and contemplated not having pie with the kids... But figured it was totally worth it. Really, how often does one have pie?!? I logged it though!! Both pieces!!
  • I vary- 40/30/30 is pretty standard. I think mine is at 50/25/25 right now. I just make it that my carbs are not processed grain garbage. Ok, I *try* to do that...
  • Yay, you're here! We can get our butts kicked together! ;)
  • Good morning!! I hear ya!
  • Mfp estimates are ALWAYS way lower than anywhere else. There's a few ways to go- there's the Harris Benedict formula ( which is what KA swears by) and you can google pretty easily, or another way is to just add a zero to your weight. Ie: 160lb person-- eat 1600 calories. Change your increments by 10's. And for either of…
  • A pickle?!? That's gross and awesome at the same time.
  • Ha! aka: When could you move without pain? Go to the bathroom without wanting to cry? I'm starting sometime this summer.... I love reading the things like this! Lol!!
  • I've pretty much given up on Fat free greek--- blech. It may only be in Canada, but the Astro brand full fat greek is to DIE for. Whopping 10%. SOOOO creamy and good! It's 200 calories for 1/2 a cup though, so I save it for days that I'm using up cals at the end of the night. If I need to lighten it, I'll mix a couple…
  • Hi Rachel, I have owned BBL for ... well, for a while, and started it a long time ago-- got about a week in, and then stopped. BUT.. ( ha ha.. pun intended..) I restarted today. I've lost a bunch of weight, but really need some oomph in my mommy butt. I do a bunch of other stuff too-- I teach a fitness class called Drums…
  • Each of her workouts have different goals. On her podcast, she has said that Body revolution is for people that have a pretty big amount of weight to lose, and if you're closer to your goal, do Ripped in 30 instead. That one still progresses with 4 different levels of workouts, but is certainly more efficient. She also…
  • bumpity bump...
  • I get the " It takes too much work to log my calories" complaint a lot. Really? It takes me about 30 seconds. But mostly, my biggest issue is ANY meal replacement shake plan. UUUUGH!!!! Eat REAL EFFING FOOD!!!! You're not learning anything about how your body uses food, and how you are going to survive if you DO make it to…
  • Ooooh,I like this too. With this though, do you make sure your net is above a certain number? Or, that your net is close to your BMR? I've tried doing the regular method with tdee and only gained.... but I have days where my burn varies from 300- 1000 cals. ( have a hrm, and teach fitness classes...)
  • Relaxing before bed with a little Josh Groban. Puts me in my relaxed happy place!
  • This may sound odd, but shaving my armpits was WAAAAAY easier before. Now, I still have an armpit groove when I lift my arm, and getting a razor at the right angle is a total pain in the *kitten*. That probably isn't an issue for you though....
  • Not at helpful, but if you take the word "chicken" out of the title, it makes me giggle like a 10 year old boy. As I said, not at ALL helpful. Sounds like you've got some great recipes here though_- I second the chicken/salsa/ crockpot thing! I just use chicken and an jar of salsa in mine, shred the chicken when it's done…
  • Just do a web search for standing abdominal exercises, and a plethora of options come up. Usually, they are more effective, and more functional for your body. Good luck!
  • You've probably figured this out by now, but the form for some of the moves on her dvd's is HORRIBLE. If you have any joint issues, they are murder, and if you don't.. you may develop some after making it through that. My trainer hadn't seen 30 day shred, but was curious after so many people were complaining about knee…
