We're clearly not in the same circle since nobody else I know counts calories. Yes I have lots of friends who read labels when shopping or before they eat something and are mindful of being healthy. But not a single one of my friends (and I don't have a limited friend group) has a food scale and tosses in the components of…

If I'm included in that group, sorry I wasn't trying to "jump on people". I understand what people are saying (and I did start super young which made it more of a lifestyle I'm used to rather than just a tool). I just feel like counting calories in general the way people on MFP do it isn't normal- not just me. The average…

No, there was no "backtracking". People seem to skip over what they please...including me eating out a couple times a month (which would be the 'treat' some are recommending) as well as the insane frequency he eats out. 3 times a day isn't an "occasional meal out".
-
lol I ask him why he eats out so much too, and in the end it's just because he likes the dining experience. He likes long lists of wine to pick from, an array of choices of food rather than having to go grocery shopping or cook each different thing individually. Which is fine, but if I don't expect him to dine in with me…

Calories burned are inaccurate anyway. If I'm not hungry I don't eat them, but if I had a good work out I usually am extra hungry but try to eat less than 50% of my fitbit calculated burned calories. If you start feeling fatigue and other symptoms of under eating then you know to start eating regardless of your appetite.…

I'm not anti-social....I go out to shows and clubs and concerts and parties and all that good stuff just not restaurants. I don't understand why that's considered interfering with my life? I just prefer not to do something. It just so happens that the rest of the world loves that "something". I started counting calories so…

Hard boiled eggs, I let them boil while I get ready and they're good to grab

Beef jerky!

I'd log butter or oil if i used it. I don't log my Pam oil spray though only because I have no idea how id do that lol
-
I log my chicken as one item, and the oil used to fry it as another based on its weight. I don't look for already prepared food in the database

I freeze two bananas overnight (usually are around 200 grams), in the morning mash them up, add 28 grams of almonds and 32 grams of crunchy almond butter and a teaspoon of cinnamon. You can easily cut it in half and save calories cause this comes up to 500 calories. Using one banana instead of two saves around 90 calories,…

I make salads with kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, chickpeas, and use a serving of hummus for dressing with some lemon juice

There is intermittent fasting, which is basically what you're talking about. But you can't "pig out". I don't know your calorie goal, but mine is around 1,500-1,600 and it's so easy to eat that much at a restaurant dinner with dessert and a drink (could be just because I love cheesecake....but that's a different story

Lucky you! I always weigh my fruit but it always ends up being 100 calories MORE than I estimated based on size lol. It's quite depressing.

That's a great idea!!!! Not real pizza but a good low calorie base for when I just want cheese lol
-
Yes!!! My Special K bars are always exact! Same experience with waffles. Serving would be two waffles, but always 14 or 15 grams off per waffle!
-
I generally have one ounce of hummus, one ounce of feta, 100g of cucumber, around 86 grams of tomato, and 50g of avocado on a low calorie wrap. Delicious and filling! Sometimes I make a peanut butter, honey, banana "sandwich" with two kashi waffles instead of bread

Starbucks Everything with Cheese bagel with cream cheese :D

I appreciate the use of that semi-colon :-)

Never thought of an all-women gym!!! That's actually a great idea. and IF he suspects cheating or whatever like others stated, or worries about other guys at the gym (which he's never voiced but hey, could be possible I guess) that could calm him down too.
-
Yeah I'm sure he thinks it's silly, because I don't think he would intentionally try to disrespect me. I'm just not sure how to make it any clearer. I'll try another talk, I guess. And watch my diction, emphasizing words like "disrespect" although we did already talk about boundaries.

I'm 19, he's 23.

We've Been dating a year. He joined my gym two months into the relationship

It doesn't overlap. I'm not sure how I can make that any more obvious than my two posts explaining the issue. It's the fact that he goes out of his way to go when I go, even when he had no intention of working out, and does exactly what I do without a routine or plan on his own. I'm not gonna retype it but maybe my post on…

If you read my second post because I didn't make it clear in my first, you would know that communication is not the problem. I've bluntly stated this. He says okay and acknowledges it then goes back to normal behavior. Again, it's not a communication problem. Its him not respecting my boundaries.
-
But you made that statement, in this thread, therefore trying to make it connect? Unless you're just talking nonsense, which would explain many of your posts. I generally don't point out stupid statements like that, and let them go. But Youre just so rude and your ego is so large I wanted to point out that you're not…

I don't see how that's controlling, when it was a result of him being intrusive to begin with. Its not like we always attended the same gym, or I met him there. He joined because I go there and he wants to go when I go, period. I find that intrusive. I don't see why our relationship had to change his own fitness life.

Now how is that relevant to my post?
