I am a Lasagna Love volunteer chef and can vouch for the org as well. Some chefs (like myself) can make a vegetarian, gluten or cheese free lasagna if you have any dietary restrictions.

I completed it last year and have since done the 5k races and a 5k mud run. My biggest piece of advice is to not try to run too fast - if you're brand new to running and you start out at 6-7 mph, you'll likely find it difficult to complete the longer runs. I started at under 4 mph and was able to eventually build speed…

I started C25K in February of 2015 at a decent level of fitness but no with no running experience. It worked wonderfully for me - I did my first 5k race in May 2015, as well as two more and a 5k mud run by the end of the year. I definitely agree with posters above who say don't be afraid to go slow. I started out running…

I get up at 6:45am and usually eat lunch at 1:00pm. I do have a travel mug of coffee with sugar and half & half, but rarely eat anything solid until lunch. I do usually have a hearty lunch though.

How much does your boyfriend weigh? You could drop however many pounds he is by kicking him to the curb.

I like to blitz it with loads of olive oil and garlic in my Vitamix to make a tasty vinaigrette.

I completed C25K in March, and have since run two 5K races and a 5K obstacle run. I thought I would die when I first started but now I run 2-3x per week and love how strong and fast I feel. Keep at it, don't try to run too fast and you will do great!

44 years old, 5'2", body fat probably around 30-35%. I maintain at 134 on about 2000 calories a day working out 3-4x per week doing a mix of cardio and strength training.

I'm 44 years old, 5'2" and maintain around 134lbs on 1800-2000 calories. I have a sedentary job but I work out 3-5 times a week doing both cardio and heavy lifting.

I completed my first 5K race today with a finish time of 32:22! I didn't run at all a few months ago, but I used the C25K app and before I knew it I was running further and faster than I ever imagined. I haven't felt this accomplished in forever!

I just completed my first official 5K race with a finish time of 32:22!!!!! I must have been filled with adrenaline because my fastest practice run was right around 40 minutes. To go from not running at all just a few months ago to this is unbelievable - I'm so proud and looking forward to my next race!
-
I eat out or get takeout 3-4 times a week. I've been maintaining for over a year.

Tricep pushups, pull-ups and the last mile of a 5K run.

I highly recommend the C25K app/program. When I first started, just running for 90 seconds at a time was killing me. Now I can complete a 5K run in under 40 minutes without walking or stopping, and am participating in my first 5K event in less than a month. I think it does a great job of easing your mind and body into…

Oh my God, that looks amazing. I love rutabegas! Must try ASAP.

Agreed. I recently switched from Zumba to Body Pump because my gym replaced my Zumba instructor with a new one who's so obnoxious I can't stand being in the same room with her.
-
After graduating from the program about a month ago, I finally signed up for my first 5K event on May 17th! I'm continuing to run 5K twice a week to keep working on my stamina and speed.

I'm 5'2" and I maintain on 1800-2000 calories a day, but that's with working out 5x per week (cardio and heavy lifting.)

I love Luna Bars as well! They don't seem to get a lot of love on MFP (not a lot of protein for the calories is what I've gathered) but since I don't have a problem hitting my protein macro or calorie goal with them they work for me. I finally tried three different flavors of Quest bars after seeing all the raving about…

One of the reasons I love to lift on Friday nights. I can go prior to 6pm and still get in the squat rack (my gym only has two). I personally can't OHP an Olympic bar yet, but everyone I see doing it does so in the squat rack. I imagine when I get there that's where I'll be doing them too.

I switched out my Zumba class for Body Pump after my Zumba instructor was replaced with a different one that I can't stand. I really enjoy it, though like the others I consider it cardio rather than weight lifting. I still lift heavy in the free weights section twice a week for that.

If your lower back is in that much pain from deadlifting you could have a problem with your form that could cause serious injury. I have a history of herniated/bulging disc, and I worked with a trainer very carefully to make sure my form was correct and experienced no back pain when lifting.

I graduated! I still can't run a full 5K in 30 minutes, but running for 30 minutes straight even at my speed is something I never thought I'd be able to do. I'm going to keep running on my own to build up stamina and hopefully speed as well. Looking forward to my first real 5K in mid-May.

I just love the idea that I can do things at 44 years old that I couldn't do at 20. I weighed less back then, but my strength and stamina were nothing compared to the present day.
-
My Y is the cheapest gym in my area except for PF, and since I lift heavy I don't think I'd ever step into one.

Sabra is the only store-bought hummus that I like. I've tried just about every other brand and have been disappointed. A lot of them seem to have a lot of cumin in them, which I like but NOT in hummus. I love making homemade hummus in my Vitamix the best though. I like my hummus very citrusy, so I can add plenty of lemon…

I would second reporting her management. I was a Park and Rec dance teacher for several years and would never call out someone like that!

I'm almost exactly the same height, weight and workout frequency as you and I eat 1800-2000 calories a day to maintain.

That is a smoothie, not a juice. With a juice, you filter out all the fiber and other solids, which makes it much less filling and nutritious.

If by "toning up" you mean gaining muscle, you won't be able to do that with cardio/resistance training (which is what Insanity and the like are) and being in a calorie deficit. For that you need a progressive heavy lifting program and a calorie surplus, and even then it's very hard for women to build muscle mass. But if…
