In Australia, $1million up for grabs, milliondollarvax campaign with the funds being donated by philanthropists. I'd be interested to know if the rate of vaccinations has a sharp increase in October.

Are you sure you have your settings set appropriately? I am 5ft2 and to lose weight my calories are almost identical.

Well done on the weight loss. Just wondering if you have a lot of excess skin? If so, I wonder how much of that contributes to the last 8kilos you want to lose.

No one knows yet how long those who have already had covid will be immune. Could be a month; months or a year or so or longer. Some or most of all of those who had caught early in the piece may well have no antibodies now. I thought this was sad, children are now suffering or dying because of the choices their parents are…

Tasmanian government has introduced mandatory vaccination deadlines for those working in health settings. Qantas and some other employers have also introduced mandatory vaccination for employees. This is an interesting read, it's written by the owner of MONA in Tasmania as to why he is requiring employees to have…

It may get those who are sitting on the fence about vaccination and those who intend to get vaccinated but just a bit slow about booking etc. My company gives a day's leave as a thank you to those have been vaccinated, we had a high vaccination rate at my work location so probably wasn't needed. At the company's other and…

It's not easy caring for someone with dementia, my mother passed away in Sept 2020 due to advanced dementia/alzheimers. This is a ways off but for anyone interested, this is a free MOOC run by the University of Tasmania, starts in Feb 2022 https://www.utas.edu.au/wicking/understanding-dementia Another free and excellent…

I hide all the subforums I don't wish to see the posts to. I view the remaining subforums via the recent discussions list. The recents discussions posts would be full of chit chat and fun & games posts if I didn't hide those subforums.

Your BMI is quite low (though not underweight), it's possible that you are eating at maintenance. Are you trying to lose weight? How much weight?
-
You've lost 6lb in less than a fortnight. That isn't slow at all. You need to reconsider your expectations. How much did you expect to lose that short time?

Give it a go for a few weeks or more and see how it works for you, see what your weight loss patterns are. Just don't weigh in the day following your highest calorie day...not that the high calorie will necessarily result in a scale weight gain the day following, but the volume of food may or the high salt or sugar intake…

Find the foods that keep you satisfied for longer. For some that may be protein, for others that may be high fibre foods or low calorie high volume foods. Some find dairy foods may keep them satisfied for longer. Also making sure you stay hydrated, some people mistake thirst for being hungry.

I don't track vit d that is in foods, but I do know how many capsules I take a day so I don't need to log them. I take them without fail, I too have osteopenia.

People quickly establish their preferred spots for all sorts of things: cafes, church, pubs, exercise classes, choir, work lunch room, meeting rooms, dining room table at home and even their favourite seat in the lounge room, etc.

How long since you've had your baby...given you say just? If you are (still) breastfeeding you need to make sure your net calories do go so low that it compromises your breastmilk production.

3lb a week/12lb in a month is pretty good for your start weight. It's not slow at all. You are doing great. Not sure what you think you should be achieving but unrealistic goals can lead to disappointment and that can lead to giving up. Celebrate all your losses every week regardless of big or small, they all add up and…

83 x 2.55 = 212 calories. The 100gms is not just the content of the packet, it includes the water, so the packet and water = 255ml.

It hard to know what meals you may like without knowing you like and are picky about. You have shingles? Hopefully you are past the contagious stage by now

Well done on your weight loss. There is possibly some excess skin but I would say there is excess fat under the skin.

A super spreader event in Sydney Australia in the last couple of weeks (the numbers may be low compared to elsewhere but does show the impac of having the vaccine)....of the 30 or so people in attendance the only people who did not catch the delta virus were those who had the vaccine including one person who had only one…

An Australian airline (Virgin Airlines Australia) will be offering a competion for people who have the vaccine...it will be on offer once vaccines open to the wider community, so far, no out cry against it (that I am aware of)... but once open to the general public it will be for those who have the vaccine over those who…

Not sure why you need more traffic but my take on this is you do you and they can do them. I find it best for me to ignore or divert any comments on what I am or am not eating

Whatever you are comfortable with. I personally wouldn't be comfortable using a gym sauna being naked sitting on a towel in front of a bunch of strangers or non strangers for that matter. Culturally I know its different in many countries and I had been brought up that way culturally I presumably would find it comfortable…

Nothing wrong with 4lb in a month. I think you are doing well...be kind to yourself.

I am in Australia and the only location in my state right now that a mask is required is inside an airport (and on the aircraft) when the airport is open to the general public, but excludes parts of the airport when the general public is not allowed. I wear my mask from the staff carpark into the reception area of the…
