holy crap you've done so well!

There are new smart watches coming out that have heart rate monitors inbuilt. They track blood flow through your wrist. Should be a lot more comfortable than having a chest strap.

I'm in Bromley, south east London. Log daily so you're welcome to add :)

Sounds like a great day. When I trained in Wing Tsun I attended a few seminars to see GM Keith R. Kernspecht. He is pretty old now but damn his technique and reaction speed were ridiculous.

I'm in the same position with MFP and kickboxing. I refuse to believe that I burn as much as it states so I often log my 90 minute classes as just 60 on MFP.

Good Sir you're welcome to add :)

Me....and my primary motivator to go outside and burn some calories

Apart from age difference and injury/operation part, I could have written the same thing around 3 years ago. You're welcome to throw me a friend request :)

I think if you change what you eat you may not necessarily need to go down in calories to achieve your goal. Cut out the bread, so no more sandwiches at all, just live off salads with chunks of chicken breast. I've also found that it really helps to drink as much water as possible while eating. Kind of fools your belly…

Today was leg day. 80 minutes on treadmill with gradient 7 then just 20 minutes weights. I don't think I will be able to walk tomorrow...

Hi. I'm 34, living in London. While losing weight for a martial arts competition I too have begun striving towards attaining a six pack. If I'm not too young for your desired demographic you're welcome to throw me a FR ;)

Really good job OP :)

I train almost daily yet never drink more than 10 glasses. The thought of 19 in a day is making me want to go to the toilet lol.
-
All my family and friends make jokes that I am disappearing, that I am too skinny now and look like a refugee or something lol. I just put it down to them being used to seeing me as overweight so aren't used to seeing me as I am currently.

It's the days I suck that I post about more than anything. You're welcome to add me ;)

I live in Bromley, Kent. I log daily and do regular dog walks, gym sessions and kickboxing. Feel free to add :)
-
If you log daily you're welcome to add me. I train almost every day (allowing me to stuff my face lol) and would be nice to have more MFP friends who're UK based as loads of my current friends are active at very different times due to time zones.

60ish? Not sure :)
-
You're welcome to add me. I was in your position a year or so ago :)

My favourite little tactic in kickboxing is to step in and instead of the traditional jab and cross combination which everyone is taught and expects I try to apply a little of my Wing Tsun stuff. Instead of jabbing, I'll trap their hand, usually their leading hand against their body as best as possible, while immediately…

Am currently losing weight for a kickboxing competition in March but after that I will be working on gaining to compete in the weight division above. You're welcome to add me :)

Hi all, I haven't been on MFP for long but I log daily. I'm looking for others who love sparring etc. Feel free to add me :) I trained Shotokan Karate for a couple of years as a kid, recently quit Wing Tsun Kung Fu which I did for under 4 years. Currently practicing Sanshou kickboxing, which I started over a year ago.…

Brilliant, thanks :)

Since dropping weight I have relied on dark chocolate. Less fat and calories.
-
Feel free to add me. Signed up to a gym for the first time in a decade, had previously only done martial arts and jogging outside to get/stay fit. Am currently training towards a competition in March. Having gym rats as friends would be nice whenever I might have a training question :)
-
Much respect to anyone who is at marathon distance level. Feel free to add me. I too wouldn't mind some like minded MFP friends. I too train often (novice kickboxing), wanting to improve physique etc. Only been logging for a few months.
-
I often save 170 calories for a 9oz fruit salad I'll have late evening.
-
If you're used to 5km then 10 is no problem. Kind of depends on what your 5km time is whether you'd do it in under an hour though.

I was in a similar position a couple of years ago. 6 months of daily push ups made a big impact. After a year it was sorted.
