You can add me :) I've been mostly ZC since April --- with lots of slips :( Still trying to find the "magic macro ratio"
-
perhaps "low carb" diets aren't for everyone. But for those of us with any kind of insulin resistance it's the healthiest woe. The best part is after you've adapted (2-5 days maybe?) your hunger plummets and energy skyrockets

Hard to find low carb foods?? MEAT!! , cheese, eggs, fibrous veggies.... no need for frozen 'frankenfoods' just eat REAL food.

No, but I am a high-carb person naturally, which, in my view, makes the process more effective. The good thing is, none of that matters. I added in really good-quality, healthy foods as the months passed. Before Christmas of 2013, I was eating pretty well. It's all a process of betterment. Ask away! :-)[/quote] I tend to…

Coming up on 23 hrs of day one. I feel awesome! Still not feeling super hungry. At 2 yesterday I ate a 1lb burger w 2 eggs. This morning I had 3 cups of coffee, 2 black one w hwc. Plus lots of water, herbal tea throughout Heading to a friends place for cookout; doubt I'll be low carb today ... Looking forward to seeing how…

Shay: Yes, that's my plan. I just do not do well with carbs in my diet. I'm pretty insulin resistant and feel so good eating this way. If you're interested I'd recommend the website I referred to above. He's not zero carb, but very low carb and high fat, and along with IF has lost over 100 lbs

...your name: Christine ...your weight: 150-155 (haven't stepped on the scale in a few weeks...) ...your height: 5'1" ...any past struggles you've faced or are facing: the seemingly never ending struggle to find a plan and STICK with it! I've struggled w/my weight my entire life. I've lost w/ Weight Watchers, Atkins, Sugar…

Starting OMAD today!! Like most, been a yo-yo dieter most of my adult life. I've been interested in Intermittent Fasting for some time and am excited about the things I've been reading here and other places around the interwebs. fwiw - I've been eating zero carb for a couple months and although I FEEL FANTASTIC: tons of…

I'm super frustrated by this! I updated my IOS JUST as I was starting SL and seeing how nice the app works for my hubs who did NOT update is driving me nuts!!! Not being able to change my weight amounts makes the app basically useless for me

^^^ this!! Yesterday was my 9th SL session, 3 full solid weeks, with last week off due to work CRAP! Squats 85lb BP 65lb Rows 65lb OP 60lbs DL 90lbs so far everything has felt pretty good EXCEPT for my squats! I 'learned' lifting by starting with Body Pump. The instructors at my gym are super good about teaching form and I…

I'm glad I saw this on the message boards again! I've had an MFP acct for a while, but have only recently been 'active' esp on msg boards. Could someone explain how I can continue to see this board, because it's not like a group you can join, right? btw -- I'm 47, trying, like everyone else here, to beat the clock! Began…

Holy F!! How long has it taken you to transform like that! you look freaking incredible!!!

I just set you a FR! You say you're weak and not losing... I just glanced at a few days of your diet and the first thing that hit me was your lack of protein. Especially if you're working on your physical fitness.. Roller Derby=BADASS :) I'd suggest trying to get close to your weight in grams of protein each day, esp the…

Thanks! this actually answered the question that popped into my mind when looking at that warmup site: Does everyone actually do 4 warm up sets?? Today was my second day, WO B; went very well. Without thinking, I went into a second set of DLs, but my App stopped me from doing more, lol.

AWESOME site! Thank you -- just what I was looking for :)
-
thanks for the tips! @fittreelol -- I did check out the Agile 8 and Simple 6 --- really good stretching, thanks!

2 boiled eggs, that's it. 140 cals, good protein and a little fat ... keeps me satisfied til lunch. Let me try the same number, or even many more, calories worth of grains or fruit and I'm weak and shaky in 90 minutes

Same here! Coconut oil makes the best popcorn as far as I'm concerned. I've tried two kinds for this: LuAn (the cheap stuff from the grocery) and Organic Coconut oil from Trader Joe's. The difference in flavor is astounding to me. The TJ's Organic makes the most delicious popcorn I've ever had - and yes, there is a subtle…

Me TOO!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE me some hoppy bitter citrus-y IPAs!!! I actually considered the Go Sober October, but with football, local brew fests and whatnot... yeah ...

***(and I mean real beers, so at least 180 calories each), and I'm going on a brewery tour tomorrow*** :drinker: my kinda girl!!

I'm 5'1 SW: 202 CW: 143 GW: 117 Last year at this time I was down to 125 fitting nicely into 4s and even some 2s... (which, let's be honest, when I was that size in HS, they were 8s and 6s, LOL) I was fairly happy at that weight, but still had a good bit of excess fat around my 'trunk', giving me a muffin top - yuk I'm…

I'm with ya sista!! I --- very briefly --- thought about "Go Sober October", but I know it's NOT doable for me. I totally agree with all who just count it in w/your calories. I lost a significant amount of whilst having a glass (or two) of red wine every night. My downfall has become BEER!! I cannot, do not, will not,…

^^^^^^ totally this! I have a very similar story. It's taken me several months to get back on track, but I'm back in the game. What better option do you have? Trust me, you DON'T want to go back

I think they are flippin awesome and I agree w/you that the black/gray might be better -- if you like them, go for it!! If I wasn't such a cheapskate I'd totally get a pair (maybe even the blue ones  ) and I'm 47... I've learned with age that I really don't care what other people think, if I like something and I…

Congratulations! I know the feeling and it's fantastic isn't it! Keep up the good work
