I never take my shoes off inside till the very end of the day, when I am just wantching tv. If I walk around much without shoes on my back and feet start hurting. I will take them off if I am at someone elses house if they ask me to though.

I use an Omron pedometer which I love. It tracks steps, aerobic steps, calories burned, and miles. It seems fairly accurate, once you get the stride set up correctly. I wear it everyday and it helps me keep moving. I try to get at least 10 thousand steps a day. I spent around $21 online... such a great deal.

You can add me....I'm short , 41 and also have a long way to go. We can do this.....

I usually plan ahead and log my food for the day in the morning. I sometimes have to go back and change it , if my meals or snacks change. I tend to eat the same foods for lunch and breakfast, so it makes it easy to enter.

I find if I do my own cooking from scratch I can keep in under my goal. I have been trying to buy the "lower sodium" versions of pre- packaged soups and stuff like that when I can find it. I like to use Mrs. Dash instead of salt when I am cooking. It is definately a challenge.....

I have a snack right before bed almost every night. I sometimes have problems with my blood sugar going to low at night....so a snack before bed is helpful. I usually have a slice of bread with a little peanut butter....yummm.

I love my $21 dollar Omron pedometer....its pretty accurate and the price was great.

"fun size" bags of chocolates....reeses, york peppermint patty etc....can't have them around or I can't stop eating them. Brownies with frosting.... It is kind of nice to know I'm not the only one who has trouble with stopping at just a serving or two....
-
I would probably do peanut butter. Yummmmm.......
-
My total 10-16- 12829 Not gonna get any where close to it today though.....spent the day at the surgery center with my dd, who just had her tonsils out.

I am from Bellingham Washington......

Thanks for the responses....I sure appreciate it. My Omron doesn't have a website (that I know of anyway) or sinc with MFP.....its a great pedometer, but a little lower tech compared to some. Thanks again....

I weigh every morning but I only log my weight once a week ...usually on Thursday or Friday.
-
We usually go there a couple times a month. I usually get a happy meal and give the toy to my 6 year old.....she loves it because she gets 2 toys instead of one....lol. All things in moderation is the only way I can keep myself on track.
-
So glad you are OK now.....what a scary feeling.....btdt. Also glad that there were some kind ladies to help you..... Take care of yourself....

I hate when I can't find what I am looking for......maybe try "potatoes - usda" and see if that helps. Good luck

I highly recommend the website Quitnet.com. I joined it 471 days ago when I decided to quit smoking. It is a wonderful, helpful site. I could not have quit without it. I used the lozenges when I quit, they were really helpful. Good luck you can do it....Add me if you want.

I have an Omron HJ-112 pedometer. It is incredibly accurate once its set up correctly....and very reasonably priced. I would definately recommend it....

Good job to all of you.... I quit smoking on June 16th 2012. I used the lozenges for the first 4 weeks and then weaned myself off of them. I wish I had paid more attention to my weight while I was quitting.....I am here now because I put on a ton of weight in the last 14 months. Mary PS...I would highly recommend the site…

I always gain a pound or 2 of water weight during my period. It usually goes away the next week. I try not to let it bother me.....
