@mamainthekitchen congratulations on the 24 hr fast!! I hope your mother heals quickly.

Happy April fellow fasters. Just wanted to drop in and share my March measurement progress. I lost 1.5 inches total; 1/2 inch off each thigh and another inch off my waist. Plus I gained a 1/2 inch on my chest. I hope you all have a wonderful Easter weekend!

@mamainthekitchen I am currently doing a 100 reps per day for 100 days challenge with pushups. I'm on day 44. Otherwise I try to do a little yoga, some weightlifting with my dumbbells (nothing super heavy, my heaviest ones are only 35lbs) and I do some mountain biking when I can. There are some days when all I have is my…

@Meghan509 Thanks for the welcome. @mamainthekitchen Thank you for the welcome. I have not heard of the zero app, I'll check it out. I'm currently using fastic which is a free (with option for paid version) app that does the job pretty well. @KateNkognito Thanks for the welcome. I'm curious, on your fast days where you eat…

Hello everyone, newbie here. I have been fasting 18:6 for the past 41 days. I've seen some decline in weight and measurements already which is good. I initially began IF with the intention of getting into the routine. I believe I have accomplished that first goal, now it's time for me to start refining what I eat to help…

Hello allergic2avocados, I'm also doing 18:6 IF. Well, I started really tracking it last Saturday. I'm 43, rocking the dad bod, and looking to drop close to 50 pounds. I would be happy to offer whatever encouragement I can.

Serial starter? No, the fact that you keep “starting” says you’re not giving up. Sounds more like dedication in the face of extreme opposition. You’ve totally got this!
-
I totally know what you mean! For me it’s more along the lines of “you shouldn’t lose anymore weight.” Because they obviously know what’s best for me and my body.

Abilities and inches are my non-scale goals. More abilities and less inches. Less inches is pretty self explanatory. Abilities include handstands, impossibly difficult yoga poses, one arm pushups and pull-ups, pistol squats, running, climbing, jumping, etc. You get the idea.

Oat and Banana pancakes Mix the following in a blender (I use my Magic Bullet): 1/4 cup of rolled oats 1/2 of a banana sliced 1 egg a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice I like to eat mine with some whipped cream (no sugar added) sprinkled with walnut pieces and chia seeds. They also store really well if refrigerated. I…

Of course it would be that simple. Thank you!

Welcome Kristen. I can relate to stress in life. One of the great things about tracking your meals is that it gives you control over something in your life. As you begin mastering the control of your food (not easy by the way) you'll learn how to control other aspects of your life. The parts that are within your control…

I agree with bellabella1983, you don't look anywhere near 49! I don't know if this is a ladies only party but I'd love to offer my support and encouragement. That is if you don't mind a Y chromosome in the mix.

Curse the wretched scale! It's just an arbitrary measurement anyway. Though it's really hard, I try to focus on how I look and feel and ignore the scale. Muscle is more dense than fat so you could weigh more than you think you want but be super lean and fit and look fantastic too. Don't let the scale be your primary…

Welcome!

I've been doing IIFYM and Stronglifts for a while. I run occasionally. Have you started lifting yet?
-
Fantastic progress, nice work!
-
Absolutely inspiring! Thank you for sharing.

Can this be done with frozen chicken? Or does it have to be thawed before you throw it in?
-
These look great! Thank you for the recommendations.
-
This looks fabulous thanks!

Who knew that doing basic compound lifts would carve out some calves?

I may not look like this on the outside, but I certainly FEEL like this when I see baked goods. They're my nemesis.

I see no reason why we shouldn't have more representation from Bilbo. Bring on the pics.

Thanks for all of these suggestions. I have the same issue - desk job. One thing that I've been doing for the past week is two two-minute planks every day, one full and one elbow. It's not much but I'm feeling a difference.

Yep, I'm watching right now.

Thanks for this, I'll be checking this often for sure.

Every time I see the title to this thread I think of Pam Ferris from Matilda accusing Bruce Bogtrotter of stealing her chocolate cake.
