This. If doing low carb, drains you if energy, then it's time to change things. I had same problem when I tried low carb. Also handling of stressful situations and things that required deep reasoning felt impossible. Now i virtually never go under 150g of carbs per day and still drop weight just fine, as long as my calorie…

Just up your carb goal and lower your protein and/or fat goal accordingly, while staying withing your calorie limit. Problem solved.

I'm sure it will work fine, well not worse than Charge 2 for sure. Decent swimming tracking is still quite rare in this price range so this is a strong point for Versa. I don't swim myself, so I didn't consider that as I should have. I would love to have decent offline music storage for running during summer, but without…

Swimming is a good point, I didn't think of that. Other "neat new features" like customizeable watch faces, Fitbit Pay and music storage might be enough reason for some too. While Charge 2 looks better, specially on a woman's wrist (matter of preference of course). I asked, because I had a discussion about versa with a…

May I ask why? I'm genuinely interested of the reason

Really depends on preference and goals. I prefer Garmin watches myself. For "serious" fitness activities Polar and Suunto higher end watches are good too. For simpler activity tracking a Fitbit, Garmin or Polar trackers are always a safe bet. For iPhone users an Apple Watch is decent middle ground with unbeatable…

My Garmin seems to be syncing fine at least.
-
Most likely not. Other devices seem to sync fine at least. Might be some backend issue with Samsung devices though.
-
Connecting Samsung devices can be quite complicated. As has been said before, you need to enable proper read/write permissions in Samsung Health app, which aren't that easy to find, and also set Samsung HEalt as your default step counting option in MFP settings.
-
I should get one for a test soon. But considering how ugly it is and how pointless for its size, I wouldn't buy one for myself. As always it's a matter of preference of course.
-
So close, but not there yet: 1595 here :)
-
Nope. What time you eat doesn't matter at all, as long as your total calorie consumption we day is within your goal limits.
-
Since it has a word "diet" in it, it's quite likely a fad or a scam ;) Name is quite clickbaity too.

OP, getting back to your original question, if you think that as low protein intake as 100 g per day is enough for you, then there is no point to waste money on whey protein, since that amount is very easy to get from usual food. My current protein goal is set to 170 g (5.11, 185lbs) and I usually get that amount from my…

You have a solution right there, written by yourself: you have to eat more. As others have said before, MFP won't let you log dangerously low amount of food and then call it done day.
-
As people have said that would be unhealthy. It's basically a lot of sugar with no protein or fat. Besides, since OP didn't say how many apples that diet would involve. If it's only one, that would be simply starving yourself. If another hand it's an unlimited amount of apples, but nothing else, - in that case, for…

Fitbit has nicest UI for sure. And it is most popular in the western world, so odds are there are more people you know who use one if you want to participate in challenges. Features wise it's not even close to Garmin (providing you have a device with those features integrated, and actually need them of course.)
-
This. I find it weird how people now use "Fitbit" for "fitness tracker". Seems like a bit too early to get into Xerox/Kleenex/Google world here  I prefer Garmin devices myself, but all 4-5 top brands make very good trackers. It's really up to preference like features you need and design you prefer.
-
While I don't really understand what you mean by that, since to get proper calorie calculation in MFP that assumes that you both log accurately and that entries you choose are correct, weighing everything you eat is essential. Something like "One medium apple" in the database can well be 100 calories off, foods higher in…

I don't use oil for cooking if I can avoid it, in my case that's most of the time. Most types of meat have enough fat in them that using extra oil isn't really nessesary. If I have to use oil, I pour it into a measuring spoon first, usually one 5 or 10 gram size spoonful is enough. And I never deep fry anything.

For f*** sake, it was your birthday! Just feel free to celebrate with your family/friends and be happy, don't even consider feeling guilty about it. When on a weight loss journey, such occasions are even very necessary just to keep yourself sane. As for "cheat meals" as such, I don't personally believe in them. I prefer to…

As an example: Last summer, while on a vacation, I gained 8 kg (17 lbs) in a week. I ate a lot, probably around 4000 calories per day, since I never restrict myself much while on a vacation and abroad with interesting, exotic food. But I was also quite active, no gym or other training, but a lot of hiking and averaged…

Carbs are life  Keto (or just low carb) just like paleo and other such approaches are highly individual. There are a lot of people who have found success with them and find them a good choice. For me personally, low carb approach is not worth the pain and loss of mental abilities. But it is very individual. That…

That Wendy's burger looks quite good though >:)

I'm in the same boat as most others here. I virtually only make a protein powder shake when I find it hard to hit my protein goal for a day (while still in my calorie limits) and that doesn't happen too often, perhaps once per week or two. And as some do taste good, I sometimes use it as a dessert alternative, though in…

Did you move your scale from its usual place? While everything people above said is absolutely true, it is still very unlikely to gain overnight 9lbs of water and extra food circulating in your system, even if you ate a lot a few hours before. Not to mention fat, which is literally impossible, as has been said before. A…

Wow. Since I have never used MFP on an Android tablet, that is new to me. On a phone I use it only in portrait mode, never in landscape. And I think same apples for those few times I have used it on an iPad...

I never log tea or water, if I would drink black coffee, I wouldn't log that either. But since I only drink some sort of coffee that includes lot of milk, I certainly log that

That's an interesting probleem to have. I usually have opposite issue. I find it often hard to reach my protein goal, while it's way easty for my to go way over with carbs. In any case, MFP default percentages can be too low on protein, if your calorie goal is quite low.
-
I'm always confused by these threads. That's probably a configuration issue. I haven't used a Fitbit with MFP, but with my Garmin MFP adds exactly those activity calories which Garmin reports. If those are too optimistic or not is another topic.
