I am 5'5" and around 220. I eat 1900 cal a day plus my exercise burn, and I am losing. I am a lot happier at this higher calorie intake, and it is something I can do for life. I guess I am losing about 1lb a week. I will send a friend request, add me if you like.

If you are intimidated by the gym, just tell yourself, anyone of these people could have looked just like you at one point....but they don't anymore because they are there, and have been there. You could look just like them a year from now (or less)...but you won't if you are too intimidated to start. A quote I love is "a…

You look great, congrats on your hard work paying off! Thanks for sharing!

anything is ok in moderation, but for me, personally, diet coke/pepsi is addictive, and I get headaches from the sweetener (only when I drink too much...so see the addictive comment)...anyway, it is best if I only have it when I REALLY want it....like with an occasional slice of pizza, etc. Many people can have one once in…

The high end of my ideal weight on a chart is 144...but for me, spending most of my life morbidly obese, I am setting myself a more realistic goal of 160 and I will re-evaluate at that time. My goal is to be healthier and feel better, not to be a perfect size. I got to 144 once but did not maintain for any length of time.…

14 days down, 10 days to go in the challenge but habits established for long term! This was just the boost I needed to get me back to losing again. I have FINALLY given up pop, thanks to spark, and I was having headaches every day, taking pain reliever every day. But I am off pain relievers, headache free and feeling…

I am on day 5 of the 24 day and loving every minute of it. I am down 8lbs and feeling fantastic. I had a friend do this and her success was so inspiring I decided to try it. Feel free to add me as a friend, just put advocare in your friend message if you do. I am 38, mother of 3 in the Midwest, active for almost 200 days,…

I hit the 30lb mark today, this is half of my 2014 goal and only 4 months in. So happy! My total goal is 90lbs (60 this year, 30 next), 1/3 there already!

Congratulations! You look great, looks like you got younger in your pictures, isnt that amazing! Wonderful maintenance! I have lost large numbers before and then had life changes and gained it back. I have come to accept myself at any size, and not identify myself with my size.

I know I haven't successfully kept it off, but I have lost large amounts twice. My advce: Don't completely cut out foods you really enjoy, just be more sensible about them. If there is a certain food that is a "if i have one, i have the whole pack", then don't have that in your house. I also agree that with a lot to lose,…

Welcome back. I lost 15 last fall, and also gained it back in a couple months. I am feeling much more committed this time. Glad to have you back, you can do it!

Couldn't ride my favorite roller coaster last summer. Had to get off and wait for my nephew to ride alone. It was just the one ride, the seat belt is a little shorter than most. Horrible. It was a wake up call, and is still a motivator for me, but still took me a while to get serious about doing someting.

Awesome! Congrats!

It is encouraging to see so many with the starting over theme, same here! We are not alone! I lost 120 starting when I was about 28, after marriage and 2 babies, it was all back on. I then lost 90 lbs before baby 3...I had my lowest weight, healthiest pregnancy. I only gained 25 while PG, but another 50 in the 2 years…

Just joined, checking in, work in Ankeny, I am down 23 from my high weight, I am down 8lbs this year. I still have at least 82 lbs to go! I have a great exercise and food logging routine going so far this year, hoping to keep it going!

Congratulations! That is fabulous, and I can see the difference, you look great. I am one of those people with a lot more to lose than that, but your accomplishment is TOTALLY worth celebrating! Bask in it, you deserve it, good job!

Hi, Dianne, Your post made me laugh, and i had to reply, because I am Dianne with 2 n's too!

congrats on the jeans fitting, what a feeling! I am 38, little shorter and my top weight was around where you started. I lost 120 when I was 28,29,30, but then slowly gained it back when I married and had 2 kids. I lost another 90 before baby 3, and gain 25 during PG, 50 AFTER! Ugh, so here I am again, not up to my…
