  • The best thing to do is to get yourself a good heart rate monitor, I use the Polar FT4, when you set it up right it will give you the most precise number of calories burned. The monitors on the fitness equipment are very "general" they are made to fit a mass of ppl. For example a 5' 200lbs man and a 6' 200 lbs man will not…
  • well week 2 was not as I planed, I only have 50 kms to add to my 214kms. The weather up here turned cold very fast and I'm no using my indoor setup. Motivation is hard at this time of year....... so I'm up to 264kms of 300!!!

  • if your hungry, eat them, if not, don't. I sometimes burn is excess of 1500 cals on a long bike ride, there is no way i'm eating a extra 1500cals in a day. burned cals are just that: burn cals. Consider them an bonus gift from your efforts, you can return them if you want, but you dont have too. good luck!
  • its my dream bike a pinarello dogma f8, comes with a 12k price tag!!!
  • make the 124kms!!

  • im training for a granfondo race. I'm riding on average 30 kms a day/ 5 days a week. I get my heart rate to around 170bpm, at a cadence of above 85rpm. And yes my butt is killing me!!!
  • the best thing to do if you want a accurate idea of how many calories you burn is to get a heart rate monitor. If you use the estimate calories burned on this site, you will be off by a lot....
  • hey I don't want to burst your bubble, but after your initial water loss, were you can easily lose 2-3 lbs in a week, it gets harder. my setup is for 2lbs a week, I do cardio 5-6 days a week. and I hardly ever loose 2 lbs. sometimes nothing at all, sometimes 1 lbs. your body ajusts to any changes rather quickly, loosing…
  • I love metal, from 80's hair metal to death. I's all good. These days I'm in to Volbeat big time, nice change from the regular metal!.
  • Not really quick, but steady. I's hard to say how long it will take you to ride your distance because there are so many factors to take in to account. Are you a regular rider, wind, rain, road conditions, what type of bike you use, etc....I always say, I know when I leave, I never know when I arrive!
  • Hi, I ride 5-6 days a week, for 30-35 mins at about 38 km/h. In my case 20 kms = 30 min
  • Hi, I ride 30-35 minutes, 5-6 days a week at about 38 km/h (about 20kms/day). I tried those bike videos and youtube things, I hated them. I just pop in a movie or tv series on dvd and time goes by. This week I'm looking at Rome, season 2. Before that I was on a James Bond fad, watched about 20 of those.....
  • I think it really depends on what you do. If a cheat day for you is to have a special meal and desert, go for it. If a cheat day means you eat a pound of bacon, half a pepperoni pizza, a bottle of wine and a bag of chips, well, maybe you should skip it! It all comes down to logic, you must remember that those extra…
