My husband is active (he's military) and we lead an active life. He and I will probably do yoga together when he comes home. I'll try it again at home, too. :) I'm really enjoying walking at the moment.

Oh yes! My chiro does that. :) he is also debating using a machine to push my disc back. I just had an updated MRI and he will let me know his decision this week. I'm just happy to hear of people being active even with this crap!

My doctors don't clear me for anything. They put restrictions. They said if something hurts, don't do it lol. But clearly lifting a ton of weight is off limits.

I absolutely hate yoga. My husband hates it too, but it's been helping him with his issues... so I'm sure we will do it together lol. I'll ask my doctor about the things some of ya have mentions. I don't know what a TENS unit is. The doctors said without a doubt losing weight would help it. I'm not expecting to be back to…

Well that made me feel worse haha. Hopefully mine doesn't get that bad!

I do stretches (my back used to be so tight I couldn't even turn) and I can't do too much weight. I do core exercises and stuff with a 3 lb weight. I'm small, and gained about 17 pounds in 2016. Plus I was working a labor intensive job, so I think all of that combined messed me up!

The PT hasn't been that helpful. He gave me some stretches to do everyday at home. The chiro said swimming would be helpful, but I don't have a pool or have access to one. I am moving out of state soon, so I'll look for a gym with a pool there.

I'm used to it, in all honesty. What's worse, is the crippling PTSD and anxiety I have. I developed IBS and gastritis since my body is under constant anxiety and stress. I am anti social now. It's rough. I'm like the shell of who I used to be. It's been hard facing the facts that I'll never have children, too. I can't even…

That sounds great, Catt! It's hotter than heck where I am right now, but I'll save that recipe for the cooler months.

Thank you all so much! Love these ideas.

Homemade or buy?

This made me LOL! Not all of us can be chefs. ;) Thanks y'all for these ideas!!

Y'all rock! Thanks for the ideas!
-
Yes I am US military! :) are you?
-
I'm not sure how to add people :( so if you all could add me I would appreciate it
-
Thank you I appreciate that. And thank you and your boys for your service.
-
Is there seriously no one? Haha

I don't do keto, the high fat is a problem (majority) for me, plus the lack of fiber (I have to eat a lot for my digestive issues) isn't good for me either. I study nutrition and it's against my personal beliefs, lol. I'm glad it's working for you though!

I do make it sometimes. But when I have a gastritis flair, all I can eat is oatmeal and filtered water. I kind of lost my spunk for it. I don't really care for it anyways, lol. I'll add some new stuff like you suggested and I'll give it a go!

Mint tea made me vomit and ginger gives me heart burn! :( I'm going to try and sneak in some snacks at work, or bring a smoothie with me and sip on it when I get a moment. I didn't have gallstones, I was in an accident and the impact of being hit (I was a pedestrian) exploded my gallbladder. But my doctor said to give up…

I'll eat more fiber. Dr told me take a supplement and that doesn't help me AT ALL. Thank you for your response!

I have time for maybe 1-2 meals per day. I work full time, go to school full time and take care of a disabled family member full time. Eating isn't on top of my list in all honesty! I'm lucky if I can eat breakfast.

I have no clue what bothers me. One day I can eat an egg, fine, next day... I'll be in the bathroom for hours. It's very annoying. My doctor gave me a low dose of acid reducers when needed, and told me to eat activia. I guess I'll throw something together. I get scared to eat with all of my problems.

Oh no!! I'm completely lactose free now, so it doesn't matter one way or the other I guess. It was causing too much mucus production. I miss regular yogurt in my smoothies, but I'll live. Haha. I don't even miss cheese or anything.
-
I never had any reaction to dairy prior to my gastritis. (My sister is LO and I know the signs lol) And it could have just been because I had the yogurt pretty soon after sh** hit the fan, so it's possible that was a reason.
-
I wish I could edit this, I have gastritis so things like sausage and bacon don't work. :( but thanks for the good ideas!
-
Thanks! I can't eat chocolate, but I'll check out the PB 2.
-
Thanks so much! Great ideas.

Great idea! Yeah it's pretty caloric. I can't eat a lot of food, maybe 800-1000 calories a day. It's too hard to eat a lot with my gastritis, so maybe the calories would be welcomed. lol
