  • I use a protein powder (Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard) because I really struggle here too. I also keep tuna cans/pouches on hand and cook up a package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the crock pot on Sunday so I have them to grab during the week. Hummus is good too since it's made from chickpeas. Eggs...an…
  • Les Mills Combat for cardio. I love to punch and kick but Turbo is too dancey and perky for me. Combat is a perfect combination of fun yet technical moves. Body Beast for lifting. Plain and simple, I had muscle gains with this program like no other. Sagi is an incredible trainer. I am doing P90x3 right now and so far, so…
  • I've done Insanity twice and there is not a 90 minute workout in the program. The "max" workouts in Insanity are 45-55 minutes, the workouts in the first half are 30-40 minutes, give or take 5 minutes. That being said, I have done T25 as well. I did a blog post comparing the two, but since I'm not sure I can post a link,…
  • I use Optimum Nutrition too. It blends perfect straight from the shaker cup without clumps and it's the only powder I can drink straight up without any additional ingredients. I like the Double Rich Chocolate. :)
  • My husband and I are both starting on the 6th. :) I was a week into Asylum when I ended up with an ankle injury (not workout related) and now that I've been cleared to go, I'm going with X3 first and then going back to Asylum.
  • Lately, I do cardio if my daughters (ages 10 and 11) talk me into doing a Combat or Turbo Fire workout with them, otherwise I stick with my lifting. My body likes strength training better; I lose more body fat lifting vs. doing straight cardio. :)
  • I only lost 4 lbs in 60 days with Insanity, but I lost 20 inches overall. Are you measuring as well as using the scale? If I had just gone by the scale, I'd have given up. 5 inches gone from my waist...I'll take! :)
  • ^^This!! Hey, fellow WWE fan! :) I started out at 224 lbs. and averaged about 2 lbs/week through the bulk of my loss. It's slowed down now that I'm adding muscle and losing the rest of the fat at the same time, but I can say that I don't have the loose skin problems (yet? lol) at all and that makes me happy too because I…
  • I wish the option to create a custom strength workout that also reflects calorie burn was available too! I use a heart rate monitor (Polar FT4) and put my strength workouts under cardio to track my calorie burn. I keep paper worksheets of my reps and weights used since I can't record both on the log.
  • Check out Tai Cheng by Beachbody or DDP Yoga. I'm a huge fan of them both and they are esentially non-impact.
