and assuming I eat 2700 calories of chips/day but burn 500 cal/day I'm losing weight..yeah!!
-
I reference HBE as the Harris-Benedict Equation..which I'm seeing is what the TDEE is..sorry to sound "dumb"..just figuring this out now..hurray!
-
Yea..at least for the last 4 weeks I've been "good".
-
I agree..but now I KNOW!! thanks guys.
-
I was kinda thinking the same thing (too late though I already got it..) but at least I know now how hard I'm exercising and how many calories I "might've burned")
-
So let me see if I got this.. I checked my TDEE (plugged in my stats) and HBE..and the number is almost identical (TDEE = 2697, HBE = 2698.116) ..is TDEE the same as HBE? 1. So using the TDEE (or HBE?), I can consume 2700 (to make it easy) cal. to maintain my current weight. 2. There are 3500 cal. in 1 pound and you need…

I'm new to the MFP too, could you explain this to me further. So for example, my TDEE says I should be 2697 (Moderate exercise 3-5 times/week - I do the Insanity program 6 days..but usually the Saturday program is mellow) My MFP is manually set right now at 2100. If I follow MFP and eat 2100 cal/day and then exercise and…

I agree..I was unbelievebly sore for the first 2 weeks from the toes and up..hang in there..the 3rd week your body should feel better. I'm in my 4th week now. They say the 2nd month is where you will see results. Eat healthy and the results will come. I lost about 6 lbs since 08/16 (when I started Insanity). Think a key…

I too heard varying stories of kidney damage and especially isolated whey not being good for the body. I'm reading that the organic sprouted brown rice protein is really good for you..and better digestable without the worry.
-
I weigh 174 (male) and do 40:30:30..my protein intake is 158g. I think, from what I've read, you should take your desired weight and multiply by .70 (even by just X 1, if you exercise vigorously.)

I started..4 weeks ago..but I'm down to support ya. If you are not in shape, and from personal experience, modify the routine to finish it..pace your self..truly...otherwise you will get zonked and just poop out..
-
..wow..kicking butt. I almost fainted and threw up on my 1st fit test..I must be in the 90%..lol
-
I'd rather do Pure Cardio than Plyometric Cardio..ugh
-
Think I figured it out. I started MFP on Fri., 9/6, and felt fine..ate a bit more than I wanted but anyway.. I started feeling tired/worn out starting Saturday, 9/7. I was reading around today and my total protein intake is way too low. Looking at Friday's total protein I was finished at 121g..felt good. Interestingly, on…

Does extra fruit add too much sugar? Perhaps I should go back to my other meal replacement..still trying to figure it out..
-
To be honest, I just can't stick to "what to eat" menus..yeah, I need to eat a big steak..j/k.
-
Same here..it is truly the only way to appreciate coffee. I even put it in my meal replacement shake.
-
Hmm..I used to have the FR 305, but can't recall if it had a caloric burn readout..I just ordered another HRM that shows this..as I no longer have the FR.
-
I'm in your same situation and ordered a HRM (also in the 4th week of Insanity)..they're all around..PM me if you want to know which one I got. But, the biggest factor here is nutrition and how much/little you are actually intaking. I figure I'll eat less and exercise more, it may work in the beginning, but your body is…
-
that's awesome..that is my around my daily caloric intake too..hehe..hopefully I get similar results..good job!

scary scene
-
..is it an estimation..how do you know the exact calorie, carbs, fats and proteins to plug into the MFP?
-
1 kg of korean bean paste..YUMMY!
-
So I'm good..3 donuts - 3 tomatoes = 0

Got it! Thanks for the great replies (and timely!!). Yes, I plan on getting a HRM soon (Polar FT7). I've just been estimating calorie burned by an estimate I read somewhere of intense cardiovascular exercise (Insanity) is 10 cal./minute..I know this may not be accurate..and I'm sure I'm off here..but for now (until I get…
