  • I just bought this book and have begun reading it.
  • Hey, we all have to start somewhere! You can't dramatically change the way you eat and expect everything to work successfully. You're doing great so far and I am sure the longer you go the more you will change things up to better attain your goals and fit your lifestyle. I would say, I eat about 75%-80% clean. I am still…
  • @mantium999 I can see what you are saying...but I pretty much reiterated the same "fear" or "concern" twice. I have never tried to eat only 1200 calories a day. I think carb cycling can be effective if done correctly. It does state in their books, on their website, and when you email their support team that across the…
  • There is actually nothing I am confused about except the part where I'm eating 1200 calories on a weight training day. This post is reaching out to others who have done it before or are currently doing it to see how they handle it. Nothing else about it is confusing to me? So ... thanks but I'm not confused and seeking…
  • I will be starting carb cycling soon. I am just trying to figure out my meal plan.
  • With Chris Powell's method of carb cycling, women are supposed to eat 1200 calories a day on LC days and 1500 calories a day on HC days and then 1000 extra calories on your free day....1000 extra on top of the 1500 you would eat on a HC day. So that's a total of 2500 calories for your free day. It's meant to be controlled,…
  • Awesome motivation. My legs have always been motivating to me as well as they seem to have results the quickest of any body part. Can't go wrong with a great pair of legs ;)
  • Thank you!! And why would she say that to you? So rude! 84 minutes of working out is 84 minutes of working out, it's better than sitting on the couch for 84 minutes. Tell her to buzz off. At least you were at the gym. Good work!
  • I couldn't agree more with you. I am still so much overweight that I tend to only notice how heavy I feel during cardio, how tight my clothes feel all the time, how much weight I am not losing, how I would DEFINITELY see more muscle if it wasn't for all the fat that is covering them. However, it was so highly motivating…
  • That's what I am saying! If you're within your sugar allotment for the day then there is no problem with it. You can't eliminate all sugar from your diet completely. It's in everything! Fruit, vegetables, etc.
  • @lucyholdcroft363 - That is fantastic to hear about your progress since November, you will be at the 1 year mark in no time. Awesome post!
  • I used to use splenda, 3-4 packets. I had to wean myself off splenda because after using it for so long I couldn't taste ANYTHING else in my coffee. I couldn't taste real sugar, I couldn't taste stevia, I couldn't taste anything at all. I knew stevia was better than splenda so I started mixing 2 packets of splenda with 2…
  • You can add me. I would love more accountability buddies. Anyone can add me =) I just made my food diary "friends only" instead of "private" yesterday. I figured that would help me stay on track, knowing that my food diary is available for anyone of my friends to peek in on and they would know everything, the good, the…
  • Hmm, that is a tough one. I completely agree that the meal plan is difficult because of the volume/amount of food. But barely getting 1,000 calories a day is something I can't understand when I am having difficulty staying under 1500 calories ha ha. Of course, I am still eating all the wrong things though too, I just…
  • So you just blend oat flour with raw egg whites and berries? And it's safe to drink the egg whites that way? I will give that a try. I just never thought it was safe to consume them that way. Thanks!!! I have added the liquid egg whites to my oatmeal before cooking and it tastes decent...though it's not 100% yummy either…
  • Sounds like you know more about what you're doing than I do. ha ha. I am going to keep up with the program but then probably do it again after I complete it. This is kind of "getting my feet wet" with weight training and then I want to do it again and follow it EXACTLY the way it's supposed to be done, schedule and…
  • @noclady1995 - I just wanted to let you know I finally tried liquid egg whites mixed in with my oatmeal this morning. Not terrible, but I do think I need to work on the ratio of egg whites to water for cooking the oatmeal. Today I put in the 1/2 cup dry oats, 1 cup water (as called for in instructions) and then added the 5…
  • Sorry I am just now seeing this. I have no tried the egg whites in a protein shake yet. How do you prepare that? How was simply shredded? Is that a program on here as well? I will have to check it. I definitely prefer the workouts when you get in to week #3... they have you doing more moves but only 10 reps instead of 12…
  • you look FANTASTIC!! I am just about to start week #3 and I haven't fully committed to the diet yet. So I think now I will make the commitment to the diet and absolutely take some before photos so that I can see the changes. You look great. Yeah, egg whites are easy to get sick of....blech!
  • Yea I am just going to see what works. I can't make myself miserable or I won't stick with anything. Someone suggested putting liquid egg whites in with oatmeal and then cooking it...that might be an option. I will try tomorrow and see.
  • Can't wait to see your pictures!
  • I found a TDEE calculator as soon as I asked someone else how they figured out theirs. It told me a calorie goal and % of carbs, fat, and protein for the day and then broke it down per meal. Eating the same thing everyday really does suck, and I know that you shouldn't look to food as a source of excitement...but come on!…
  • @noclady1995 You have been a huge help. Thank you! I will check that YouTube channel out. It really is all about finding what works for you. I have to crack down on my food though, seriously...that's what is messing me up. I keep saying "I'll start tomorrow" and it never comes. I need to quit fooling around, otherwise the…
  • I simply want/ed to try to stick with the meal plan she suggested as closely as possible to get the best results from the program she designed. I am sure some people do the program and don't follow the meal and vice versa. I certainly didn't think I would be able to do it to 100% perfection right away. The program is…
  • Hi; Thanks for your in depth review! I have done meal prepping before and need to take it up again! It really helped me stay on track... for the most part. I did find that a lot of things didn't taste good after a day or two. I did 2 prep days and would prep for 3 days at a time. I tried storing things in the freezer too…
  • I think I saw somewhere further into the plan (after week 7 or at week 7) where she has us start calorie counting/carb cycling. It's somewhere in there, not sure exact week but I know I have seen it. I do love the exercise part of the program a lot. Still working out kinks with the meal plan. If what you are doing is…
