I just saw a documentary stating the opposite. That people are exercising but it won't do any good and that somehow counting calories is impossible. I stopped watching about 20 minutes in because it was very uninformed.

I always want to eat more about a week before my period. I also get very specific cravings (I know whether I want sweet or salty). I was actually just struggling with this today. I had a few bad days in a row and I hate logging them because I feel like people are going to judge me for some reason (even though I know my MFP pals wouldn't do that). Feel free to add me if you would like and I will also work on logging everything including my bad days.

Someone may have said this but if you only have 6 more pounds to lose, then the weight is going to come off slower probably and gaining a pound is pretty normal. You should see my weight loss graph, it is far from linear. Don't freak yourself out, it happens to everyone :) Good luck!

My mom has done weight watchers and it has been very beneficial for her. She does it in person (you can do in person or online) and I think actually going to weigh in in-person has helped her with accountability. She lost about 40 pounds using WW. The 2000 calorie post that was on here a few days ago. Apparently 2000 calories is good for everyone regardless of sex or height. And you will starve if you eat below that.

I didn't read through everything so sorry if this is a repeat. When I need to fill a lot of calories but still need nutrition, I just eat a spoonful of peanut butter(measured out though). That is around 200 calories and has protein :)

The people who claim they can't eat anywhere near 1200 calories b/c they get too full. Do they not realize they were most likely eating way above that to gain weight in the first place?

Unfortunately, that's what got me into this mess of needing to use MFP at all. I thought I was eating healthy so I was okay, but when you are so much over that you gain weight, then it really is the calories. If it only mattered what was in those calories, then I probably wouldn't need to be on here at all :/

I should add that the part where it says to put in your goal, you can put anything in there and it will still tell you your TDEE.

http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ This is a great calorie calculator. You want to find your TDEE and eat to that. That is your total daily energy expenditure. You can put it in how much exercise you do per week.
