It's the very clean diet they have us eat. Small meals 6 times a day 6 days a week. Sundays are Fundays or a cheat day but I only had a cheat meal. I eat about 2000 calories a day and more on Sundays. The cardio days consist of HIITs so the calories burn off after we are done. It works really well. On Saturday when it's…

I've lost 41 pounds and have 70 to go :)
-
I also have a very pushy friend that over the years has tried to convince me I can't have success without her 300 dollar a month supplies. Well 41 pounds later and I think I'm doing just fine without her stuff. Can it help you? I'm sure. But so does clean eating and exercise.

Oh sorry. Here it is: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10030011/35-pounds-gone-in-2-months/p1

I'm 5'9" too. I put my pictures up 10 days ago under the post "35 pounds gone in 2 months".

Absolutely incredible! !!!! She will inspire so many people in her life!!!

Thank you for the encouragement. I feel so healthy for the first time in a very long time. I will become a FIT member after next Saturday. I can hardly believe my 10 weeks are up next weekend. It's been the most phenomenal journey I've ever been on and I am sad to see that phase end but I still have a long ways to go.…

Unbelievable!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely yes! It makes it way more bearable when I get a great workout in.

Girl look up HIIT workouts. They are high interval intensity training workouts that are only 4 minutes of actual exercise. If you do those 3-4 times a week in your home you'll be BLOWN away at how quickly you start dropping weight and building stamina. I do a lot of those each week so I know they work wonders :)

I'm 5'9" and just under 250 pounds so I still have about 70+ pounds to lose. I too was like you and loved my beer and comfort foods as a way to unwind and cope with stress and life. I finally got pissed enough about it and signed up for a 10 week difficult program and it completely changed everything I've ever learned…

Almond or peanut butter too. Quinoa is one of my faves and it has healthy carbs and protein. Asparagus has protein too (several veggies have protein in them).

Ok last question about this. Where does muscle hypertrophy and microtrauma come into play then? If I can lift heavier each week isn't that tearing down and rebuilding muscle?
-
Well it's definitely not the end all be all in my results. It's a tiny piece of the whole. I watch the tape measure do the most magic. The scale is good too but it's all about what I see in the mirror and how my clothes fit and what that measurement says that counts. 4 pants sizes don't lie.
-
Umm hello that's a HUGE victory!!!!!!!!!!! And weigh yourself naked girl...every ounce counts HAHA! :D WTG!
-
You're right I didn' t get tested by any of those. They used a hand held body fat measuring tool. It may be inaccurate but between day 1 and at the week 5 test I had gone down 2%. My 10 week test is coming up on December 20th.

I have it wide open to friends. You can friend request me :)

Thank you for explaining that. Now I'm off to google it and learn more about that.

That's cool that you don't believe me but it's true. I went from 287 in the before picture to 252 in the after picture. I still have another 75 pounds to lose. The results in the pictures come from working out hard 6 days a week and eating completely clean (single ingredient foods like chicken breast, egg whites, veggies,…

And also what is your definition of building muscle? Because if my arms and legs and abs, etc are getting really strong and solid from working out 6 times a week are you saying that I'm not building muscle? How do I get stronger and firmer and toner without building up any muscle?
-
Right I'm not disagreeing with you and I'm not challenging body builders. I'm asking if you all believe you can't do both at the same time. Or do you stop building muscle when you lose fat and stop losing fat when you build muscle.
-
Since you seem to have to be right on this subject let me ask you this: How then do bodybuilders bulk up before a competition while shedding fat to get their body fat as lean as possible? According to your science they wouldn't be able to gain any muscle while losing body fat percentage.

6 days a week. 3 strength training days. 3 kickboxing days. I take Sundays off. Been doing this for 10 weeks straight and it has changed my life.
-
You do realize I'm not in a calorie deficit. I'm fueling my body 6 times a day so I am definitely building muscle.
-
Well tell that to my new muscles that weren't there before.
-
That's what I'm thinking too. I've never toned this fast. The workouts are very challenging. We use resistant bands for strength training 3x a week and we kickbox and core train 3x a week.

I am doing Farrell's. I'm about to finish up week 8 out of 10. I am following the diet exactly as suggested with tweaks from my coach and it is working better than anything I've ever tried before. I also am toning and building muscle faster than I've ever done before because of the 6 days a week workouts. I'm just blown…

I went to PF Chang's with 12 girlfriends and ordered a hot tea and a mixed greens side salad and just enjoyed the company. I came home and ate my regular planned clean food meal. Normally I would have stuffed my face along with all of them. Today I was focused on the bigger picture.
