Warning! Do NOT go to an optometrist, go to an Ophthamologist. There is a HUGE difference between the two even though both are referred to as "eye doctors"; one is a doctor (medically trained) and the other isn't. Your issue can be the start of a serious problem. My husband, an Ophthamologist, sees patients all the time…

I too have the Iromgym pull bar. Works great for the P90x workouts. Carrie - I've seen results and I'm not done with my first round yet. Especially my back and abs, nice definition.

I knew you were going to say Pomegranates. lol. The one time I tried it was to much work to peel and eat all those tiny little seeds.

Welcome fellow NYer! This site has definately helped me lose the weight and the suggestions for workouts and food are great!

I know this is terribly silly of me but I bought VS's new Bombshell bra (the add 2 cup sizes one). True it is 90% padding but it took my small B's and POW! Looks so good under slinky dresses and evens out my pear shape.

Definitely! Any food keep in a warm moist environment and was improperly prepared (contaminated with bacteria or viruses) is a happy breding ground for causing illness.

That's so funny, because that was my dinner last night. I rarely go out after work and I drank a lot of water through the day and then 2 beers at the bar. When I got home I had about 3 glasses of water and was fine.

Go ahead and workout. You'll be stiff when you start but you'll loosen up. I'm sore nearly everyday from P90X but I keep going. If I waited for all the soreness to heal it would be several days before I could continue. Drink lots of water and make sure to stretch.

A recent Cambridge study found that coffee drinkers are 33% less likely to have a stroke than non-coffee drinkers. It doesn't matter how much coffee you have a day, what type of coffee (brew, drip, press...), or even if it was decaf. I only read the abstract and not the article, so I have no explanation for why.

I feel the same. On a dreary day like today, gah this stupid weather, all I want is warm comfort food. My lunch was spinach spaghetti, red sauce, and trader joes turkey meatballs. Warm yummy food yet still somewhat healthy. I haven't had a NYC slice in months and I'm very proud of myself, considering I ate it 3 times a…

I have them and I wear them everyday for my 2mile rountrip walk to work. They are super comfortable and bouncy. My legs do feel more tired when wearing these shoes then when wering ballet flats. Which is why there is a growing collection of dress shoes under my desk.

I use BSN Syntha-6 Strawberry Milkshake, yummy!

:embarassed: Just signed hubby up. Opps I've been way under-feeding him. Time to up his intake by 800 calories.
-
Congrats. I should make an account for my hubby too. Since I make almost all his food and we work out together it shouldn't be too hard to log it for him. I don't think I'm feeding him enough as he keeps losing weight and he doesn't want or need to. We are both in the get fit and build muscle phase.

Workout again. I always find working out, even if it is light, helps with sore muscles. Oh, and lots of water. Feel better!

I have a little every day in my fruit smoothie, about 2-3oz to help with the blending.

Centrum Chewables every morning

Wow! That's awesome. I will definately be doing that from now on. Thanks!

Been on it for so long I don't know the difference (14 years). That being said, it took me a year and a half to put on 14 pounds and 3 months to lose it. So I don't think the pill causes that much effect. Diet and exercise play a much bigger role.

You can do this because you want to do it! This site is great for helping people acheive their goals. By being here I've completly changed the way I eat and think about food. I'm getting into the best shape of my adult life and my husband is finally working out again. Make sure to include your husband in your activites.…

Crumpets and English muffins are two different items. I ate both growing up and the consitency and flavor are different. Crumpets are more spongy and filled with air pockets. You do not cut them in half. English muffins are more like regular bread . You do need to cut them in half. Both taste great with loads of butter and…

I love this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/77542-paste-your-photos-here-i-need-inspiration It's great for when I need a little kick in the behind.

That all depends on the intensity of the work out. I recommend wearing a HRM to get a true accounting of the calories burned. ... ...

I'm in the same boat! I'm just trying to eat healthy and someone mentioned a 50/20/30 rule for carbs/fats/proteins so I set mfp to that ratio. I got mine from a friend of a friend who didn't use it but couldn't remember where they put the nutrition info.:grumble:

I'm 5'7" CW is 124. My goal was 125. Throughout the majority of my life I have been around 125; my highest was before I started here at 138. I was super athletic and competitive in high school and worked out 2 hours a day in college. After getting a real job it was harder but I still managed to go to the gym an hour a day.…

Last time I moved I was super stressed. I ended up losing 5 pounds in 3 days. But I attribute that to not eating for 3 of those days and doing heavy back breaking do-it-yourself moving. :ohwell:

Can we stop bashing lawyers as a whole? Just because someone is weasley doesn't make them a lawyer and just because someone's a lawyer dosen't mean they are weasley. There are many great and wonderful people out there who pratice law as a profession.

Thanks!

At boring meetings and at my desk, I'll do leg extensions and try to hold them up for as long as I can. If your not in a cubicle farm you might get away with standing on 1 leg or doing other yoga balance poses. Maybe get an exercise ball instead of a chair? I do random little balance poses and streching while waiting for…
