Ok so I love OJ, it's a great pick me up just after I wake up to get me going in the morning but its has so many calories in it. 8fl oz is like over 100 calories. Any suggestions?

drink water. It's not the cals, it's the sugar that will kill you with juice. Not worth it IMO. Once in a while yes but not every day.0

eat an orange and a glass of water instead, close to same cals and sugar but you are getting the fiber from the fruit0

When I really feel the need for OJ, I get the Tropicana, Trop 50. Half the calories.0

Try a 4 oz glass of OJ packed with vitamins...good source of calcium and vit D...I think the benefits outweigh the negative...I like the antioxidant one
Have you tried tomato juice? I think that's a lot less calories...plus, you can eat it with celery

I agree with Matty and Eric.
That being said, I do love me some OJ. I've made it a treat. I only by not from concentrate OJ and I only have an 8 oz glass when I do have it. Its usually on the weekends. I never limit myself if I'm fighting a cold though. Just because the vitimin C is great for immunity and I don't like to eat so much when I'm sick.
Otherwise, fresh oranges are so much better! You get the natural enzymes, the fiber, and the juice. Clementines are my favorite! Natures candy. Besides, when you make OJ a special treat that you only have, say, on Sunday mornings, it tastes so much better.0 -
get a juicer (the glass one is pretty inexpensive at bed bath & beyond) and make your own OJ! alternative - put some fresh orange slices in the blender with a bit of fat free vanilla yogurt and some ice and have an OJ smoothie! add a banana for better texture.0

That sounds DEEE-LISH!0 -
The problem I have with juice (almost any fruit juice) isn't that they don't have a plethora of good micro nutrients, they do. It's that you are basically chugging sugar by the spoonful. An 8 oz. glass of OJ has 6 teaspoons of sugar in it. Granted it's fructose and won't be quite so horrible as eating table sugar, but still pretty bad.0

I have a little every day in my fruit smoothie, about 2-3oz to help with the blending.0
