Most Gyms will give you a free training session. Take advantage of that so you can learn how to properly use the machines. Even if they don't offer a free session, pay for one. It is worth it. You don't want to hurt yourself.

Remember in the movie Titanic, when they went down to the bottom of the ship and everyone was partying. That band was Gaelic Storm. Not very relaxing, but alot of fun.

I recently went to a buffet, Golden Corral, and tried a new strategy. First, I got a bunch of steamed veggies, then I had a spinach salad. After that I allowed myself to indulge in bad things. I had a few bites and I was stuffed and satisfied.

For every ounce of alcohol you drink, it takes 8 ounces of water to process it through you liver. Beer isn't as bad because it has a lot of water in it, but if you are drinking shots, it can suck you dry. I try to drink a glass of water with every drink. Also drinking some coconut water helps rehydrate you naturally.

coconut water!!! Only 60 calories and has the same amount of potasium as 2 bananas. Has more electrolytes than gatorade. A really good natural way of rehydrating your body.

I do Martial arts every night for a couple of hours and have to make myself eat something afterwards. I can usually only get down a little bit. I used to be a big time night time binger. I have quit watching TV and I exercise now instead and it has made a big difference.

I do Fat free greek yogurt with granola and blueberrys every morning for breakfast. 1 cup of fage greek yogurt has 23 grams of protein. It isn't sweet but the blueberries sweeten it up and only add 70 calories for a cup. You can add how ever much granola is appropriate for your goals and granola has some protein in it too.

Grilled chicken sandwichs from McDonalds and Wendys. Tell them no sauce. add your own mustard. also they both have grilled chicken snack wraps. Use mustard only again on those. The snack wraps are great for eating in the car.

Try only eating back part of what you burn. The calculations that MFP makes on this site are in general. It is possible that you aren't burning off as many calories working out that you think you are. then by eating back all of them you are actually going over or breaking even.

I've startedback to lifting weights. I am still losing weight but figured I could still lift while I'm doing it.

muscle is denser than fat and requires more calories to maintain it. Thus if you were to add on 5 or 10 lbs of muscle, you would increase your metabolism. don't worry, 10 lbs of muscle won't make you look like arnold. It would be spread out over you entire body and you problably wouldn't even increase in size
-
I use Coachs Steel Cut Oatmeal from costco. I add Max muscle vanilla Protein to in and it is pretty good. sometimes I also add blurberries to that.
