I woke up this morning and the scale was down 1.8lbs from yesterday!!! its not just today either ive noticed it every friday morning after my thirsty thursday activities. I know i go way over my calories that day cuz i drink like a fish so i always expect it to go up but it never fails it always go way down after a night of drinking....what gives?

Dehydration, dancing a lot, and if you vomit.. vomiting?
  • I agree....dehydration.
  • Major dehydration... do you notice it goes back up after a day or so? Try to have one glass of water for every 1-2 alcoholic beverages. It helps with that as well as avoiding calories.
  • Yep, that's dehydration. Drink some water.

"Try to drink plenty of water before you go out, during the night, and when you get home. Alcohol acts as a diuretic, which means your body retains less water. When this happens, the body takes water from your brain, which causes it to shrink. And that’s why your head hurts the next day."

Some good info on there, helps prevent the badness that follows a night out

For every ounce of alcohol you drink, it takes 8 ounces of water to process it through you liver. Beer isn't as bad because it has a lot of water in it, but if you are drinking shots, it can suck you dry. I try to drink a glass of water with every drink. Also drinking some coconut water helps rehydrate you naturally.
