Step ups, bent over row, squat, deadlift, lunge. Rinse and repeat. I then work on my smaller movements, so leg lifts (15 each leg), hip raises, planks and such then 5-10 mins cardio.

Could also be your body preparing for the possibility of feeding new life. Storing up those fats and such. Once your body figures out that you aren't, the cravings should stop.

From my experience (and I had buggered up my knees) try doing squats with a rubber ball between your legs, roughly the size of a soccer ball (or a tad smaller if you are short of stature).
