I had my gallbladder out a week ago. I was in the hospital for a total of 6 days. When I was discharged I had put on 5.5 pounds but I think it was from the meds and IV fluids. I have lost 8 lbs in the past 4 days but my waist line is an inch larger. Not sure what is going on but I would love to know how to avoid weight…

When hospitalized this week, I wore a regular Johnny and used a regular bp cuff. I'll take that positive NSV out of a negative situation.

Dress for success gets all the business attire. The organization helps disadvantaged women dress for job interviews and then gives them more outfits if they get the job.

You can hide a lot of veggies in hamburger. I made meatballs with ground carrots and celery. My vegetable hating husband loved them, at least until I told him the truth.

I read something similar that if you do the same cardio over and over your body gets more efficient and over time you would burn less calories doing the same exercise.

If diabetes is part of your health concerns you might want to look into low glycemic foods. They are less likely to cause a spike in blood sugar. Do a Google search and you can find a list of foods by glycemic level, the lower the number the less likely for a sugar spike. Foods that are high in fiber tend to take longer to…

You might want to check out www.psychcentral.com. It is an online community offering loads of good information. They also have message boards, chat rooms and sometimes live chats with medical professionals where you can ask questions specific to your concerns.

Years ago I had a medical problem and lost over 50 pounds in the 6 weeks I was on bed rest. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. When I came back to work my coworkers were jealous and mean. I got things like, " must be nice to go on vacation and come back looking hot" , "we slave away at work while you get to…

There are a few different sprays on the market that can make a jacket water resistant, in case you find a good jacket that isn't already water resistant.

I have the fitbit one. I like that it is a clip style and can wear it on my clothing. It helps motivate me to move more throughout the day, not just during workouts. Some people have a skin reaction to the fitbit force. Check their website for more info about the sensitivity.

For all those that didn't actually read the post. I mentioned "grunting, sighing and moaning" I have been to many gyms over the years and never before heard a lifter sighing and moaning as he worked out. Deep guttural sounds of pushing your limits to the max do not involved sensual moaning.

Maybe you are right. I might need to invest in some noise cancellation headphones, after all I had my iPod at max volume.

Sounds like something the government would want to spend money on.

Being a former Army Combat Medic, I have spent a lot of time around men, in and out of the gym. I assure you I can tell the difference. Thanks anyway for your "friendly" advice.

We all have different tolerances. My limit, apparently, is hearing "sex" noises from a young man about the same age as my son. I am sure other women would love hearing those noises.
-
That is all great advice. I appreciate it, however it doesn't answer the question.

How do you get a condom on an elephant? You take the "x" out of sex and the "f" out of way (Give it a second to sink in) There is no f___in way!

If there is that big of a difference, maybe your HRM is not working properly. My husband's had a problem and giving him insanely high numbers, but it was recording his heart rate over 200 when he was actually in the 150's.

I just cleared cookies and my history, so far so good. Thanks for the advice.

Me, me pick me. I want to be friends.

I have about a 100 to lose. Anyone here, feel free to friend me. I would be happy to provide support and encouragement.

I weigh about the same and find it is easy to burn 800 calories because I am moving more weight than a slender person. I have a HRM and burn more than 800 calories in an hour body combat class. If I was on the elliptical it would be about 700 calories in an hour.
