  • I love the Ring Fit Adventure. Not as much as my old Kinect games yet, but admittedly I haven’t put the time into it yet. It is fun though, and presents a different sort of challenge!
  • I’m just trying to get back into it now, but years ago to get into workouts I also used the Kinect and the game Your Shape Fitness Evolved. It’s been ten years since I’ve played that game routinely and I still miss it! Now I have my switch, and at times playZumba, Just Dance, Ring Fit Adventure and Fitness Boxing, but…
  • Thank you everyone for the input! I feel better now :-). Been thinking about getting a new pair of running shoes - this gives me an excuse to buy them! Glad I'm not losing my mind! :-D
  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Legend of Zelda, have for years. We had the original when I was a baby, so I grew up with it in the house constantly. However, my husband says I'm an anomaly - I love the games, have the knowledge how to beat them, where to go in the games, where all the chests and items are, etc, but I am notoriously…
  • I have all three movies on DVD and still watch them. A lot. Not that newer one though. Just wasn't as good ;_;

  • Also I know my 4mph is a little on the slow side, but I rock it ;-). I'll work on speed later as the endurance builds, but as long as I keep jogging that speed, it is burning ;-)
  • I do not fear zombies, but my husband does so much that I now dream of the apocalypse >_<. However, it never hurts to be prepared. I'm going to look into the zombie run app too I think now...
  • This. I hit the alarm clock several times, lay in bed refusing to get until I have to. Once I actually get OUT of bed, I'd say about ten minutes to get dressed and ready to go. I have no patience with make up, and my hair does whatever it wants - as long as it's brushed and looks presentable, I'm happy.
  • I can sympathize with this. No one believes me when I tell them my BMI is technically Obese. My first year of college was my healthiest in years, and I was in the low 140s and still technically overweight. I'd just love to get back to that ;_;
  • I'm a dork, I get a kick out of the streetpass feature - I think it's interesting to see how many different people you can pick up with it, or how many times you may find the same Mii (check out the Mii Plaza for this!). As for GAMES, I'm a hard core Zelda fan, so Ocarina of Time 3D is totally a must. I also love Mario,…
  • I'm wondering how many of these "traumatized" children are going to counseling now. Sigh. Whatever happened to the days of playing cowboys and indians or cops and robbers? Allllllll those kids for years should've been medicated, clearly!
  • I get frustrated when I see people playing with their stupid phones. Treadmills are not meant to be finger workouts!! Granted, I get frustrated seeing cell phones anywhere anymore. People are glued to them >_<
  • I personally have never partaken in the pizza, bagels, or tootsie rolls, but I know a lot of people would use those as motivation to work a little harder and "earn" the snack. My PF does have free weights, benches, mirrors, etc. I generally stick to the weight machines at this point, because it's easier for me to hold the…
  • LPN, base rate 14.72 an hour :-P. I decided reading this that I need a new line of work!
  • We've more than considered getting rid of cable many times. We don't watch a lot of TV anyway (and what we do typically watch is on the basic local channels anyway), and we have Netflix. Much better deal, I think..
  • I was going to start training and doing some 5Ks this year and learn HOW to be a runner, but I'm also held up with a knee injury (they THINK I tore my meniscus). Currently working on PT to get it feeling better, but I totally get having to do strength training on the legs! It hurts, but it's worth it :-). Sent a friend…
  • Problem with this is that then you become the person everyone wants to tell their whole life story to....I know from experience ;_;. And then you learn things no other human should ever have to know. It's a vicious cycle...
  • By the way....I can totally sympathize with this. I do not understand it. The husband didn't even want to see the box :-P
  • Confession number 1: This thread has peaked my interest while it's been going and has encouraged me to try one. Confession number 2: I don't think I will ever go back to tampons and pads :-P Speaking as someone who has always had a lot of issues with their period - and who now lives with their inlaws - , it is my favorite…
  • What's mfp stand for?
  • I swear by Turbofire - yet another Beachbody set. I don't think I ever felt as good as when I was doing Turbofire everyday. It is super intense, but a lot of fun :-)
  • I agree. We get blasted with snow all the time here. At the end of December we got buried under probably a foot, and no one said anything about it. "Potential hazardous conditions" maybe. I just take it as life in CNY - if I'm not mistaken I've read we're one of the snowiest areas in the country. Superstorm? Sigh. ;-) In…
  • My husband always insists he doesn't care what I weigh, and he doesn't always necessarily believe me when I tell him what the scale will say. He is 100% supportive though, and I've always told him my weight right from the get go. I just figure it's a number on the scale, and I'm not ashamed of the number. Not happy with it…
  • This thread has inspired me to eat an Oreo brownie....so worth it......
  • I actually have the Biggest Loser kitchen scale (hubby bought it for me once many moons ago as a way of keeping motivated - it now sits in storage waiting for us to have a kitchen again :-(), and it worked wonderfully. Once I got it, I don't think I ever stopped using it. Really showed how much we were eating compared to…
  • This. So much this. Physically ill, or until you need wheels to get around properly...The food scale absolutely helps with this. Eliminates the physically ill, and eventually you learn to measure properly and how much a serving really is (and ultimately, get fuller faster).
  • I'm in the middle of two books right now: "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan, and "The Lord of the Rings" by Tolkien. LOTR is actually a re-read, and I've been thinking about doing it for a while. "The Wheel of Time" I just picked up, and currently loving that one as well. I'm a fantasy nerd these days :-P. On my shelf…
  • I had a steak myself tonight. Smaller serving but sooo good. We have a lot of chicken and turkey, and this time of year seafood (which I love!), but I still gotta have steak and burgers and things sometimes! Moderation :-)
  • Truly, I cannot imagine wanting to give myself any sort of an enema, let alone several a day with coffee. They don't get rid of body fat, either. Just the stuff in your GI tract. And if your tract is normal, that'll happen anyway one or the other >_<
  • I'm also a nurse :-), and for me personally I don't count work as work out. I've heard other people say it shouldn't count if it's something you do anyway, and for me, that's how I view work. I also find that the best way for me to get activity in is higher intensity cardio - walking could count, but only if it's faster…
