  • Awesome!! Thanks so much for the info ❤️
  • Omg yes!! My logging in Dec was horrible!
  • My primary Dr is aware, not the obgyn yet. I'm supposed to see the obgyn again next month. I do not monitor my blood sugar, is that type of equipment something I can buy without a prescription, sorry this is new to me. I really like this idea. How would I know what numbers would be considered normal/ high etc.
  • According to my Dr's the insulin resistance makes it a lot harder than the average person to lose weight. So maybe that combined with the stall in weight loss does in fact make my super power not being able to lose weight. Maybe if I was just over weight with no other issues I could agree with your insinuation. My "weasel"…
  • Measurements are actually something that I have not done. I think I'll pull out my measuring tape and get some measurements today and try to monitor them just to see.
  • Hi, the two different doctors happened on accident. The first dr is my obgyn who ordered labs as part of my yearly exam. He was the one who prescribed me a low carb diet and phentermine. The second dr was my primary who also ordered labs for my physical, and then prescribed me the metformin. As far as weight loss goes it's…
  • I weigh all my food in grams and have my calories set at 1400 but usually eat about 1300. I know I probably don't drink as much water as I should, which is something I struggle with. The other thing I have concern with is one of my Dr's told me no fruit due to the insulin resistance, but the other said fruit is ok, so I am…
  • This is very reassuring to hear. I just assumed higher fat would increase triglycerides. Congrats on lowering your numbers. It just seems that type of diet would be so much more satiating. Do you allow yourself any fruit? I actually found the Diabetes Solution and downloaded it to my kindle. Can't wait to check it out!…
  • Awesome info. Thank you for this!!
  • Thank you for all the info. I will be checking out Dr Fung. I'm really not trying to become diabetic, so I'm willing to do just about anything to reverse this. Don't know much about fasting but several people have mentioned it so I'm really willing to put in the work to learn more about it.
  • I did some reading on the keto diet and I am very interested in it. It seems like it would be really satisfying. My only concern is I also have high triglycerides and a fatty liver, would keto have a negative effect in those areas?
  • I was looking into doing keto, but I was worried about my cholesterol levels since my triglycerides are high. Right now my calories are at 1330 with 150g carb, 83g protein, 44g fat. You gave me some great info to look into. Thank you very much. I will look into both of those plans. Are they books or would I just be able to…
  • I've been trying really hard to get the scale to move since April. Before that I was very inconsistent due to not seeing results I would get discouraged. But now I'm trying really hard and being consistent with tracking. I have been weighing everything, including my veggies. I have been drinking 5-6 16.9 Oz water bottles,…
  • @jgnatca... honestly I think it may be boredom , not sure why else I do it. I have been trying to simply eliminate them to attempt to break the bad habit. We'll see how it goes. I'll definitely check out the book as well. Thank you so much
  • Hi all thank you all for the wonderful suggestions. For me I think I am better off completely eliminating them then slowly adding them here and there. I was just so bombarded by people telling g me that was wrong.
  • I decided to low carb it first to get the hang of things. Keto seemes bit complicated to begin with. Thanks for the helpful advice.
  • Thank you everyone for the valuable I pu Awesome!! Thank youso much.
  • Im not looking forward to the sugar withdrawal, that's really going to be my struggle. What you say really makes sense in regards to low fat diets. I had little progress doing so, often losing and gaining the same weight over and over again. Looking forward to this! Thanks!
  • I think you're right and coming from WW I think has also helped fuel this fear of fat too. Thank you for the informative desponse, I think I'll give it a shot.
  • I think 15lbs in 5 weeks is awesome. As far as exercise goes are you doing a mix of cardio and weights, or just one or the other?
  • I think I'd prefer more food and less feeling hungry, especially since both seem to get the same approximate weight loss
  • Thank you so much for the suggestion. Im going to check it out. I just want to get it right, although I know I'll have to figure it out through trial and error. I think that's going to be the most frustrating part. =/
  • YES... So annoying. Really? How rude! Everyone typically is there for the same reason, no need to be rude to others smh!
  • I just had the exact conversation with a coworker last night about the "what did you do wrong" weigh ins. Not motivating at all.
  • Hi PinkPixiexox, Thank you so much for the positive and encouraging feedback!! I really think WW ingrained the fear of the scale in me. I upped my calories to 1400 and I guess I'm just not used to that amount of food because it's been hard to meet, but I'm working on it. Thanks again.
  • Oops just realized that I put the wrong time. It's 18 minutes for 1.55 miles and 22 for 2 miles.
  • You look great keep it up!!
  • I totally feel you. I've been stuck at 163 for the past month or so. I weigh myself and I'll be down a little then the next week I'll be up just over a pound. It's so frustrating. I get into my moods when I say if I'm gaining weight then I might as well enjoy gaining weight, so I eat whatever I want. Then I feel worse. So…
  • When I was a kid I wanted to be a veterinarian. These days I'm a Probation Officer and would actually like to become a cop. Now that I'm all grown up it's definitely the law enforcement field that has my heart.
  • Thanks for the great ideas guys!!
