Sumo/Plie Squats, IMO.

I own a Garmin. Love it.

I want this guy to be a troll so badly.... Regardless, terrible misinformation and just pitiful, really.

You could be me. Been on the ring for almost a decade, love it, and have to put the date I put it in in my phone or I will sit there wondering, lol.
-
I wouldn't log it, but that's just me....

Stretching your muscles before a workout can lead to injury. Stretch after, and if you're sore the following day, get a foam roller and learn how to use it.

Something people may not know about lifting is that unlike cardio, which really only burns calories WHILE you're doing, it continues to burn calories up to several hours after you have completed your workout. Also, the more lean muscle mass you put on, the higher your resting metabolism, which is why it's a good reason to…

Truth. If I'm close to the end of a set and someone politely asks me, I generally take that as a sign I need to go up in weight, lol. But if I politely tell them I have a few more sets, I don't dally, and I'd probably get extremely pissed at someone taking my stuff before I was done. I realize everyone goes to the gym to…

Actually, depending on the type of deadlift you're doing, it SHOULD be targeting the back.

Be sure your knee doesn't go over your toe. If you're using good form, then your knees could just be adjusting and getting stronger.

I hated running, then I got formally diagnosed with asthma. I had only had two attacks in my entire life, which is why I was tested for it, and after medicating, I was shocked at how much easier it was. Just a suggestion.

If you are not in pain during the exercise, it sounds like this is just normal lactic acid buildup and the discomfort that comes with training muscles that aren't used to it. I recommend you continue training different muscle groups, stretch after you're done every single time, and don't wait until you're back at square…

Agree with the person who recommends lunges and front squats. As far as order, you should be doing the exercises that tax the system and work the most muscles first (like you're doing with squats) and save the isolations + accessory muscle exercises for last (like calves). You don't want to exhaust one muscle doing isos…

I have Jaybirds, and they're AWESOME. They have ear cushions unlike anything I've ever seen (they're shaped like a yin to a yang), last for a few hours, and have excellent sound quality. I've tried lots because it was difficult keeping my buds in my ears and I can't stand the ones that wrap around my ears, and these were…

You're going to have a lot of people tell you that you should be lifting something that's more substantial than an ankle weight, and I tend to agree with them. If your purse weighs more than the ankle weights that you're using, then you need to upgrade. Also, you shouldn't do the same exercises or target the same muscle…

Absolutely there's truth to it. Aesthetics and strength are two totally different things, although you can train for strength in the gym just like you can train for aesthetics. They just require a different program.

I'm three inches taller, but I eat significantly more without gaining weight. If you want to boost your resting metabolic rate, I'd recommend lifting heavy to put on some lean muscle mass. It'll help you burn more calories even at rest.

Weights are important because they work different things than cardio. One is an aerobic exercise (cardio) and one is anaerobic (weights) and thus you derive different benefits from doing each one. Keep in mind that while both increase your endurance and your body's efficacy, they do so in different ways. First, you're…

Can you even post gifs? Because if not, I am a sad panda.

I'd recommend a date with a foam roller, a soak in a bathtub, then some light flow yoga that culminates in a stretch after all the muscles are warm.

I eat badly too, but there are some easy things you can do to promote health. First, I'd ditch any boxed food. The hamburger helper? Get rid of it. Same with most of the packaged junk. You can make equivalents out of it from scratch, and won't be bloating due to all the excess sodium. Second, you need to drink at least 60…

FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO KNOWS! (Sorry for shouting, but really.)

I can't see your food diary because it's private, but you may not be eating enough calories. It sounds counter intuitive, but this happens quite a lot. Adjust your calories for a week and monitor your weight; it may take some tinkering to get your calories right. As far as jogging: a lot of people are surprised that…

Amen.

You called this a "religious" fast, and then stated it was a tenant of Christianity just because some Christians follow it. I can create a "Bacon for Jesus" movement, and that doesn't make it a part of Christianity; perhaps it is a part of THEIR religious experience, but not to Christianity as a whole. Your overstatement,…

I'd suggest hiring a trainer for a few sessions so they can help you with form and a schedule. Ask them to show you different moves with free weights. And yes, start doing them. Yesterday.

Crossfit really depends on where you go. I went to one and stopped after a month because their form was so bad it made me cringe. I later joined at a different location and loved it. Just like any gym, each Crossfit is different. I loved mine for its sense of community and focus on not only Crossfit exercises, but…

Lift heavy. Squats, lunges, Olympic lifts, etc. You need an all-over routine.

If you're looking for cheap, try boiled eggs. Excellent source of protein, easy to eat, and keeps well in the fridge. No need to buy ridiculously expensive protein (although I take it myself since I don't feel like eating five eggs).
