  • Exactly this. The pediatrician over simplified it, it is true you can't outrun a bad diet.
  • Honestly, I personally never notice results. The only way I can tell is from my pants and progress photos which I try to take every week. However, it can take me up to 3 months to see anything significant at all. I try to also take measurements every week to reinforce any changes. I can see from photographs of me from the…
  • Hi hi, I am 5'1" and current 156. Last year I lost about 20 lbs and then sustained an injury training for a marathon this summer. As a result, I jumped up about 10 lbs (probably only 5-7 since I started back after a long vacation in Cabo) and have been working on getting rid of that and working down to my goal weight. Feel…
  • I have/can spend up to 2.5 hours at the gym. However, this usually happens when the gym is packed and I have to wait to do some of the exercises i want to do or I get chatting or I choose to do a full stretch machine. I've noticed my chest/shoulders/triceps lifting day takes me the longest to complete.
  • I am the exact same way. My appetite is so much lower during the summer because it is so hot and I am out and about so much I rarely am tempted to snack due to boredom. My only way to convince myself to go to the gym in the winter is to sign up for stuff or buy stuff. This sounds silly but signing up for a race makes me…
  • I got these for Christmas and have been very pleased with them. At around $40 they're a steal. http://www.6pm.com/p/skullcandy-inkd-2-0-wireless-black-gray-gray/product/8770537/color/222102?gclid=CKL34Yrf_NECFcpXDQodJ70Jew&zhlfid=139&kpid=39411136&ef_id=WGCX2QAAAOw-wFuM:20170207003645:s
  • Bird dog, scissors, bicycle crunches, v sits are others I add into my routine
  • I do scrambled egg whites with laughing cow cheese most days and then later on in the morning I'll do either yogurt or oatmeal/cream of rice. Ends up being around 200 calories and I am splitting up my meal.
  • I try to balance my junk food with my clean food. I definitely am not healthy 100% of the time, probably more like 50%! This week my prepped meals are pretty clean but please see what I had yesterday for superbowl sunday ;)
  • Attending a wedding February 25 and I am maybe 1 inch around the hips from it fitting perfectly. Right now it is a teeeeeensy bit tighter than I would like but still acceptable. So my goal is to lose 3-5 lbs by then as I believe that will help.
  • I've noticed that when I up my water intake for a few weeks and then one day slack on the water my skin will go into a spiral, especially in the winter where we have the dry air and heating as mentioned above. Also watch your sodium intake as that can dry me out as well.
  • I have my diary set up for next week already and have been planning my meals based on that. I live alone and I'm a grad student who also works so I prep for the week and eat the same thing every day but change my menu from week to week. Grocery list: Breakfast - egg whites - laughing cow cheese Lunch - pita (not logged…
  • Strength training with some cardio mixed in. I like data so seeing numbers go up, whether it is weights, reps, miles, or times (well those go down) satisfy me. Anything that makes you move will help. Find what makes you happy. For me that is running, any back exercise, and the stairmaster!
  • I lost about 30 lbs two years ago, put back on 10 of it (law school yay) and have 45 to go now.
  • I'm in CW: 165.8 GW: 152 UGW: 120
  • I love Bouviers. They are large, fluffy, hypoallergenic dogs. They also tend to be one person/family dogs so they love their family and people but everyone else does not receive the same love. They're happy sitting by your feet and people say the relationship with a bouvier is more "adult" in that they don't need constant…
  • No comments about my boobs because I ensure that the focus of my photos aren't my boobs

  • I'm 5'1" on a tall day ;) but I'm adding you!
  • This made me change mine, previous one was from May 2014 and this one is from Halloween 2015
  • Congratulations, that is definitely a message to live by.
  • I'd rather get picked up at the gym than the bar!
  • I used to be just like you, feeling upset when I "cheat" and eat something bad. Now I try to live by the 80/20 rule, I eat healthy 80% of the time but sometimes you just want/need pizza! I don't feel guilty because I eat very well the majority of the time and I don't let the 20% stop me. Plus I know that if I didn't have…
  • I'm sure scales are inaccurate to a point. I am less interested in the number and more interested in the downward trend that weighing at similar times on the same day of the week is producing.
  • I've been in this struggle for about 4 years. I am hoping to reach my goal by June 2015 when I am MoH in a wedding. Feel free to add me, I attempt to eat well and exercise 80% of the time but I'm also 23 and I do let myself indulge occasionally. it has really helped me to NOT restrict 100%, yes the loss is slower but at…
  • I recently reached a goal mark, slipped up for two weeks, and then pushed past that mark myself. Go ahead and add me :)
  • I hug everyone. Everyone is my new best friend.
  • I'm not on a soup diet but I tend to eat a lot of soups for lunch because they're so easy to make in a crockpot and store. You can lose weight eating almost anything, just keep a calorie deficit and try to eat foods that keep you feeling full.

  • I started in December at 186 and am currently at 157.4, I would like to be around 110 for the weddings I have to be in next June!
