I typically bring grape tomatoes (make sure the label reads "sweet"), bananas, grapes, clementines, protein granola bars, protein shake, dry cereal for munching

We can have cheat meals, but not cheat days.

maybe your estimated caloric intake was overestimated. cals in vs cals out definitely works.

Welcome to MFP! Through observation, the successful ones are those who focus solely on "calories in vs calories out". People tend to over-complicate things by practicing fad diets (think paleo, keto, Atkins) which become too cumbersome to maintain for long term. Good luck!

ShannonMpls is spot on with her list of tips. I especially agree with avoiding fad diets. Good luck!

There is no point in lifting if you aren't feeling it. Better to recover first.

Wow... that dude has zero EQ

No one does that at my gym, from what I've seen. I'd like to see someone do that to me so I can trade it for a dumbbell to the head :P

@ Achrya - That's really good. I'm the same :)

It's an Internet phenomenon. People spread their hate anonymously behind the safety of their monitor. At least the problem isn't as rampant as on YouTube. Every single comment left there is guaranteed troll responses. Anyway, I hardly ever use the forums. I use all the other MFP features, though.

How about Jennifer? That makes a good female dog name ;)

Mine tastes great. I use a Nutri Bullet and have 1 to 2 servings per day. half bullet of baby spinach 1 scoop oOptimum Nutrition Whey Protein Isolate (extreme milk chocolate) 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1/2 banana 1/3 cup frozen blueberries (far better than using raspberries or strawberries as these leave pits, making…

Welcome! Making use of myfitnesspal's calorie counting diary and smartphone app really helped me reach my goals. If you haven't already, do give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
-
Like everyone else has said, just forgive yourself, log the calories, and move on. Don't let this derail you from your goals.
-
For me, personally, that's a deal-breaker.

My name is Jay and my fave genre of music is electro house

I don't see why not. You have the mentality and drive. Go and do it up!

Thank you all for your support! :D @marinashakeel, like the poster after you mentioned, if your TDEE is 2000, then you would need to consume net calories of 1500 to achieve a 500 deficit. Net calories = (calories you consumed) minus (calories burned through exercise or physical activity) @chani8 haha you're probably right!…

a bald eagle hahaha great thread!

Looks like you add coffee creamers at least once per day at 140 cals a pop. Some days, 280 calories just for creaming your coffee. I love coffee cream but I cut it out of my diet. The result is being able to eat at least 9 squares of Lindt chocolate per day. Sweet deal, isn't it?

Your body may be burning more calories with your current lifestyle than what MFP is automatically set at

FOr sure, yes

I've seen a similar video called The Secrets of Sugar. It's a documentary on YouTube. Made me throw away all my sugary cereals and other crap.

I'm going through a phase of cooking chicken breasts and it really fills me up with few cals. I love using remaining cals at night on the bad stuff like Vachon half-moon cakes :3
-
+1 for the peanut butter idea I don't know about the chocolate & chips idea. I tried that once and it made me want MOAR CHIPSSS!!! I also had a few hundred cals to kill tonight which I spent on a Schneider's Lunchmate Grab n' Snack
-
I quit smoking, resulting in an enormous increase in appetite for which I ate all sorts of processed foods and sugar :(
