  • Just checking in...finally! Looks like you all are extremely consistent. Awesome!
  • I'm good to go now too. Thanks!
  • I'm so glad you had Vinnie on! I'm listening now! I've been talking about NSNG in this group since I joined it. Now I just need to step away from the breads and sugars....again.
  • Happy Friday All! This is my first check in during December. Whomp Whomp. Hope you are all doing well!
  • WOE = Way of Eating. I'm still on track as of now! Hope you are all doing well!
  • Ha ha! I gave up on the Ketonix when I decided I was going to start eating out regularly at the Macaroni Grill and Carrabbas and similar places. I had no plans at all to just get meats and/or salads. Boy that was a fun 5 or 6 months! I really blew up though...again. I'm doing NSNG for a while and I'll try to become fat…
  • I've been back on track since Saturday. It feels good to be back! I've worked out this whole time, but have been eating like crap for close to 6 months and it shows. I'm already less "puffy" than I was Saturday morning. Going back to eating NSNG (no sugars no grains). That works well for me...when I stick to it. Carol -…
  • We make this recipe at least a couple times a month. It's delicious and so easy to make. Crockpot Salsa Chicken 4 large chicken breasts 1 jar salsa (mild/med/hot) - we use mild Salt/Pepper/Garlic Powder Sour Cream Season the chicken breasts (heavily) and add to the crockpot and cover with salsa. Set on low for 8 hours.…
  • That's ridiculous! I can't even take that article seriously. This part especially: "It spirals out of control as you add more and more rules, you start becoming more strict. Everything has to be pure and organic and if it's not it does not touch your plate," Overstreet said. As a result they can lose drastic amounts of…
  • Okay - I don't think I was grabbing the whole link correctly to begin with. I see the correct page now.
  • I do lots of things that I know are wrong, but my two biggest ones are: 1 - Drinking beer (not gonna change) and 2 - The constant gaining and losing lbs (lost 10 gain 10). It's a disaster. Usually the beer drinking is involved in the gaining. When I only have a couple a week or when I switch to vodka, I'm able to maintain…
  • What's his last name? LOL! I tried the link you posted below, but it didn't work for me. It was nice of him to offer a discount too, I'm just not sure the discount will be enough for me. His regular price for 1X a week for 8 weeks is $1350. Holy Crap Balls!
  • Happy Monday All! Getting back to it after going to a local winery (blueberry and fruit juice wines) and brewery this weekend. Oh, they also sold homemade cupcakes...yes, I imbibed (chocolate peanut butter). No worries about the 30 Glute Challenge. You made it a week! I'm usually only good for a few weeks too. So far, I'm…
  • Thanks for the info. I already read his posts on Ketonix and other testing. Was hoping he might chime in here at some point too, just to get specifics on the Ketonix. I was still green going into the weekend and so since it didn't seem to be getting better, I decided to enjoy myself by drinking wine and beer, and eating…
  • Happy Friday Everyone! I love reading all of your contributions as to what's a happening in your lives. Such a diverse group. It's really cool. Kim - You are definitely on to something regarding lifting heavy as opposed to doing hundreds of reps. I think that lifting weights will give you much better results. In the end,…
  • I've read all the books previously mentioned except for Jason's book. I do listen to their podcasts and was a member of their online training group at one time though. I just refused to buy another "paleo" book. :) Good info in all of those books and the websites/podcasts of the writers. I just read Keto Clarity and have…
  • Mine is a secret. Ok - not really. Angie or Angela works great for me!
  • I'll create an account and check out the Spark Group. I've been a member of the MudRunFun group for about 3 years and I always sign up on their teams. Having said that, I can/will run with anyone that I want to go with (of course). LOL! Their team usually wins the biggest team contests and the benefits are that they…
  • I know I'm not in the running for this challenge as I've only posted once so far. I still wanted to check in though. I just finished Keto Clarity and I just began checking my blood sugar. As of this morning, my fasting blood sugar was 107. That was a surprise as I've been eating NSNG/HCLF (No Sugars No Grains/High Carb Low…
  • I wouldn't be modest at all, if I could get away with it. My body confidence time was the one time I ran a 5k w/my sports bra (and shorts and shoes) on. I really would love to be able to workout in just my sports bra (and shorts/shoes) all the time. I think one of the reasons I keep my layers of fat is to keep myself…
  • Just checking in for the challenge. Looking for the stream that required just one or two sentences only. Where is it??
  • Well, unlike Carol, I'm totally reveling in your predicament. (Sorry) I'm actually right there/here with you! I get fat quite fast and it doesn't come easy or cheap. I can drop lots of money in just a couple of weeks in all kinds of awesome tasting foods and drinks to shove down my trap...like that red velvet cheesecake…
  • I feel like I was checking in often for a couple of months and then the check in's just dwindled down to a few of us. Since it seemed like others grew bored with it, I became disenchanted or detached from it as well. Yes, I'll admit that I have a bad attitude. ;-) I think by August I will be ready for a check in challenge…
  • I believe that beer causes an immediate stall or worse, a weight gain for me. One or two a week are fine, but if I let that slip back in to my life as a habit when I'm socializing, I'll see a gains within the month. I guess part of it is that I usually drink stouts, porters, and other high calorie (mostly locally made)…
  • Hey Everyone! I had a great weekend and my week is going well so far. I have been eating and drinking whatever I felt like eating (fresh homemade pasta and gelato at a local restaurant and of course beer) and still had a loss last week. Nothing in excess or as a binge though. I won't weigh myself or take my measurements…
  • I have the same watch and I base my calories burned off the watch as that's based off your actual heart rate, weight, age, etc. Just make sure you set it up correctly. MFP and RunKeeper just use averages based on the activity and time spent doing the activity.
  • Congradulations Howie! That's fabulous!!!!
  • Mark - I'm glad you made it back home. What a long trip that was...plus it was very expensive. You got me beat for the suckiest and most expensive week. I'm out $215 for a new tire and $115 for the speeding ticket I got on the way to the dealership. LOL! Our house will get tented for termites in a few weeks but our…
  • That's such a great report! I'm sorry you got sick though. That must've been terrible. Really glad you started feeling better so you didn't end your day in the ER. Great job to on doing most of the obstacles and at least trying some of them that you weren't originally planning on doing. It's so nice that your knee didn't…
