NO-Read the post slowwwly. In the first sentence I say it is accurate for steady-state cardio. In a DIFFERENT sentence I say it was accurate in the Drs. office. But considering I have "argued" with you in the past about your nitpicking ways,I say to you this is a fitness forum, not an english or philosophy forum. BUT like…

I have the charge hr--it is great for steady-state cardio as others have stated.-As for lifting,it is not that accurate but for that I don't need it to be. The HR is very accurate as I was in the Doctors office and showed it to her, and we compared her pulse rate machine to mine for over 5 minutes and it went up and down…

This thread is the reason I decided to use the TDEE method

This is Polar's version of the GarminFR15 which DCrainmaker also reviewed

I have a Garmin 15 which is an activity tracker and a HRM. I like it because I can look at all the details of my exercise on Garmin Connect and it really gives some great feedback. The reason I don't link Garmin to MFP is there are too many variables unaccounted for in the C.O. portion of CICO to get an accurate number.…

Thanks Wolf
-
Thanks for all your input.I'll continue to use 1 cal
-
Thanks--I like "icing"--I just thought I'd give it a try but I guess it is too subjective
-
Thats what I do so I guess there is no better way--Thanks
-
Thats what I do but I would like to get a better idea of what I really burn when I train really hard.
-
I think the best way to maintain weight and lose body fat is you must include weightlifting,as heavy as you can
-
What is wrong with the Polar 60--Its a good HRM
-
Beautiful---Age means nothing
-
What is your opinion of the Garmin FR15--Have you tried it
-
This poster perkins contributes nothing in his posts but negativity.Just ignore him
-
lol--And coke diet cherry rules
-
Nice--Garmin has good stuff---keep training and enjoy and thanks for your input.
-
Thanks--I do make sure to underestimate my lifting calories because there is no way of knowing how much weight training burns. P.S.-Dcrainmaker is awesome and that's where I got this idea from
-
I was doing that but since I just entered maintenance I want to double-check myself. Eventually, I will get back to using IIFYM's TDEE---Thanks for your input
-
The garmin 15 would also record the cardio as steps thus double-counting. Besides I already had both HRM's--1 was a gift
-
Sorry
-
Did you read my post--I DON'T INCLUDE EXERCISE CALORIES IN MY LOG-I USE TDEE AND PUT 1 CAL IN SO I KNOW WHETHER I LIFTED THAT DAY--YOUR POINT IS MEANINGLESS TO ME but you use nice big words
-
Good luck with that--You have pride and a desire to get better but your comments are always negative---- I'm done --No need to reply back
-
I'm in maintenance. I lost my 20 pounds and I am good.I don't even include my exercise in my calorie count if you look at my diary so I guess I am not double-counting HUH? I am 62 years old and my primary exercise is lifting-I lift heavy-I walk for cardio because I have trouble running. However YOU have no credibility with…

read Heart rate training By Roy Benson (a book on amazon)--learn--by the way, open your diary so I can see how "science" (which you talk about in every post) works. My diary is open--read it and learn HRM's are more than a calorie counter---its a TRAINING tool
-
Uh-no--HRM's are pretty accurate
